![]() ![]() ![]() Another awesome chapter. I loved the scene with Ron and Daphne, where they both seem so grown up, but in a beliavable way. I also liked how Snape took charge in Russia and Sebastians quest to prove Dumbledore wrong. If he is succesfull, at least in part, perhaps Ron will believe in some kind of redemption after all. But for that to happen, I am afraid that the Greengrass patriarch will have to die. The thing I dont like is how Dumbledore refuses to do what must be done and wage battle in equal terms with the dark lord. please let him see reason before both Ron and Snape turn on him. In any case, I cant wait to read the fight with the wraith, find out how Ron was saved and the fall out of such a public display. As usual thanks for bringing us the best fanfiction in the HP verse. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! Update! I loves Daphne development. And maybe it's just me but she's sounds like at the end of the story she would be the one to put Ron down. Like in fantasy setting. The Healer/White mage putting an end to the Destroyer. And the cliffghanger. Lol for some reason I kept imagine it like in the fighting game where they put a close up of fighters. Looking forward for next update. I cried a lot in this chapter. |
![]() ![]() The opening scene was great, the confrontation between Ron, Albus and Daphne Greengrass's father at Hogwarts...like other reviewers, I enjoyed Dumbledore's disbelieving reaction to how easily Ron took down the old man's magical protective barrier, and I also liked how the Headmaster tore into Lord Greengrass after the Weasley boy left. The subsequent chat between Albus and Severus was good too, I liked the quality of dialogue and the cynicism and no-nonsense attitude Snape put on display here, nicely done. I more or less skipped through the next scene from Daphne's POV, the centaur's death...but you *did* surprise me in the scene after that with Ron promising to kill Snape if he ever stopped "proving his worth", so well done with that one. The next part of the chapter where Daphne was dealing with...everything, I liked how Molly comforted her, and how her fellow Slytherins came over to the Burrow to provide support and comfort as well. Not so much when the Greengrass family arrived and took Daphne and Astoria back home - I'm not entirely sure why, it was probably how the tone of the text here seemed a bit...off, for want of a better word. I much preferred the later scene where Daphne's parents were arguing in private, where Sebastian realized just how deep in the crap he and his wife were - especially the part of who would take care of Daphne and Astoria, once he and his wife were gone. Afterwards, the chat between Fate!Ron and Ravenclaw!Ron was okay, even if it was disturbing to see how much they'd influenced each other after all this time - but the next scene with Ron confronting Daphne's mother at the Greengrass Manor was much better, the plot and pacing were both excellent there. Later, the centaur funeral felt a bit rushed - but you made up for that with the unexpected development of the sick committing mass suicide, the Champion gaining a magical warhammer and Ron and Daphne's chat over her decision to become a Healer...I must admit, I look forward to seeing the Greengrass girl's interaction with Poppy Pomfrey in the future. The final conversation between Ron and Daphne's father was written well, and I liked the twist with the wolfsbane potion ingredients being given to the Weasley boy, and the way the redhead just handed them over to Amelia Bones afterwards (nice snark levels in the conversation between those two, by the way). The encounter between Ron and Percy was nicely painful, the interlude with Snape in Russia a little distracting, but the cliffhanger at the end where Ron survived the Killing Curse and then started punching that wraith - brilliant stuff! Looking forward to more soon, as always. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Bro amazing chapter as always Enjoyed it Alot Really excited to see Voldie again after so long with Ron. Does he still consider him his heir? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent chapter as always my man! Every PoV was great, from Dumbledore dread for Rons nature (and how easily he can destroy protective magic), to Daphne watching in first file how someone dies for the result of her parents actions, and how she mourns said death with the help of her close ones, to what probably would be Sebastian last talk with his student, to finaly Bones watching how Ron makes history again. The next chapter is going to be a blast! I know it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, I can’t see chapter 128 here so i have to read it on A03. That was a fantastic chapter spartan, i really like the talk between snape and dumbledore. You can give someone second chance, fully aware that they won’t change, just you will lose the war as usual. Moreover, the ending was such a cliffhanger, i thought it was finally voldemort vs ron, but thank god it was victor. Ron would have been erased from the earth if he faces him rn lol, anyway i have been liking daphne more and more with every chapter, she has grown to be my favourite character (after ron ofcourse) Sayonara! |

![]() ![]() OMG! Episode 169: THE BRAWL TO SETTLE IT ALL? |
![]() ![]() A clear and obvious upgrade from the Pedo Chapter. There is a crucial flaw in this chapter and it comes at its most pivotal point, the “final” conversation between Ron and Sebastian. This is such a huge scene, not just thematically, or for our MC, but for one of the influential characters of this 4 million word behemoth…and we received ZERO introspection. What was his thought process to come to this? How was he feeling when talking to Ron? What was his thoughts on Mary after blowing up her wolfsbane scheme? This scene required Sebastian’s POV, especially since Ron’s POV in this scene brings us very little besides the conversation itself and Ron’s constant pontificating. |
![]() ![]() What a cliffhanger. And skeeter gets her due! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter. It was a little depressing. But that’s because I’ve been rereading Fate, and the earlier chapters were much more happy. Also because the group has been forced to split up a bit, and they’re no longer at Hogwarts. So I hope that Millie and Theo choose to leave their parents. The scene with Dumbledore, Ron, and Greengrass was super interesting. I especially loved when Ron broke Dumbledore’s barrier. The talk with Lord Greengrass was great. I expected him to ask Ron for help with Koch, but I guess Dumbledore’s words really got to him. I really hope that he has a full redemption, and I’m glad that he’s starting to redeem himself. The minister’s speech was great. I was very impressed by it. Ron’s speech was very funny. Though, I think the speeches would be better without the exclamation points after every sentence. It makes it weird to read, because it feels like they’re shouting every sentence. It would be more natual without the exclamation pionts. The ending. Wow. Just wow. So good. The description of Ron getting hit with the curse, and then all his bones start shifting as he “revives”. So good. I literally can’t wait to see what happens with the fight and the aftermath. You’ve had some great cliffhangers as of recently. Overall, beautiful chapetr. Can’t wait for the next one! |
