That was good but. . .Valia said it had been 4 centuries! Legolas, in his letter, had said he would wait for 1! Did she not accept him? How could she not? And why does she want to fall in love w/ Glorfindel? I believe you already know my feelings concerning that couple! (I don't like them together so very much!) She's going to end up with Legolas, right? RIGHT? ? ?

Wow, that was an amazing chapter! Great beginning so far. And I like the title too. I don't see how much higher the quality can get, but you always manage to surprise us. It was interesting how the formal farewell at Silia's wedding was so much like the formal farewell Valia gave Legolas after she slapped him. I want to find out Legolas's fiancee, darn it! I'm wondering if it's Hadrielia. That would be sad though, and rather sickening for Valia. I hope for the minimum wait before the next chapter, but if a couple weeks mean a long and detailed chapter, I'll be glad to suffer. D

Like Istawen, I have a sneaking suspicion as to who Legolas is engaged to, but I just can't say it. Valia is definitely still in character- 400 years! Wow! She's definitely as stubborn and hard-headed as ever. This first chapter was rather heart-wrenching, especially the interaction between Valia & Legolas at Silia and Isondil's wedding. Kinda strikes a nerve with any reader who's been broken up with or been the one doing the breaking up. The other person seems like a stranger all of a sudden, and this really came through in that scene. I felt bad for Legolas. :( Keep up the good work- you are an AWESOME writer. Can't wait for the next chapter.
