For the Spell-phone invention, I would suggest some runes etc to be used. It would improve MC's repertoire too.
I enjoyed the interaction/character build up of others, that's what differentiates a good book vs others. Having only gamer MC's POV will make for a dull book.
I liked the fact that MC is doing mundane tasks (clovers, santa etc) to complete quests :D. It adds a lot of flavour and dynamics to the plot.

I think more explanation needs to happen for why he wants to be known as a magical creature, because given what he knows of this world he should know that's not a good thing given the prevalent racism. Why he used the Martial Arts outing that as well in a nothing tournament he could win anyways, kinda screwing his partner over a bit there.

Is he really fooled by Oswald? Charles seemed to agree with the fake test. I thought he'd caught on to who the guy was given you said he observed him and his quest to take over London would be faster given what he learned.

Anyways, just some minor critiques, overall its a great story so far, just found it the other day and finished reading it.

I didn't really comment on the other chapters but he's done some odd stuff like giving up the Sword for practically nothing. I'll bet Daphne's going to have to give that up now to save herself from giving away the martial arts books.
