Reviews for Wind in the grass - re-write |

![]() ![]() ![]() I think this is my third time rereading this is so good. it doesn't even matter that it isn't complete. the latest update has been keeping me alive |
![]() ![]() Dear kindle the stars Firstly, my sincerest sympathy for your loss. Losing a beloved person and all the hurt that comes with it is the greatest price for loving. The pandemic limits painfully the possibilities to express and share our grief, and I wish you strength to move forward and cherish your memories. Your story has given me great joy and I relished in every sentence. I really love the mature relationship between those two. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of joy with us! |
![]() ![]() I love this story! Among the best and most captivating LOTR fanfictions i've ever read. I read your last author's note and want to tell you I am very sorry for your loss. And I won't pressure you with an "upadate"-review but want to tell you that I'll say a faithful reader if you ever feel joy in writing again. Thank you a lot for 21 great chapters! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for your lost, will be here waiting, for when you are ready to write again. |
![]() ![]() Thank you so much for this beautiful story and sharing your talent |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for what you've written so far, and condolences for your loss. Whilst I certainly hope that you will eventually feel capable of continuing the story, it is obviously completely your prerogative to take as long as you need or wish, or to stop completely if you deem it necessary. I will nonetheless follow your story in hope. Also, the Elizabeth Darrow reference was a nice surprise, as I read (and enjoyed) her adventure some time ago and had not realised until that point that you were the same author. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Girl, when I say this fic is so good, I smacked myself in the face, I mean this fic is so good, I had to stand up and bang my head against the wall! I read Stirring the leaves forever ago and I just happened to see what else you had out a few days ago, and I am so thrilled with this so far! I love Charlotter like I loved Elizabeth (although Charlotte not telling Eomer about his marriage? more head banging), and the little nod to her by Gimli and Legolas almost made me cry. You truly write so well! I also want to offer you my whole-hearted condolences. I am so sorry for loss. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I screamed at the end of this. I can't wait to see the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just finished re-reading this story and it still astounds me how good it is. I don’t think we get enough non-13th walker stories, so the fact that you chose to write like this makes the story that much better. Also… Eomer is bae. As someone who hates declaring my feelings to others, I still want to express my sorrow for your own loss. I may even be repeating myself from my last comment when I first finished this chapter. With much care and lots of bear hugs, Alessia 3 |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh hey, this explains the little bit a few chapters ago about "Theodred's contacts in Gondor" which was IMMEDIATELY followed by a mention of Dol Amroth. I didn't realize the connection at the time-I just thought Dol Amroth was being brought up because we've heard of it and because of Lothiriel, not because Theodred was connected to it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmm...he's clearly going to use Theodred to get to her, but I'm not sure how. A hostage exchange, maybe? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I feel like even if she told Theodred he'd die at the Fords of Isen, he'd go back anyway. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm getting really concerned that this is either going to end in tragedy or have a very difficult middle part as Eómer hates Charlotte for not protecting the people he cares about. Oh cool, prepping non perishable food can help prepare Rohan for the aftermath of the war without ruining the course of the war itself! |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Hundreds of years" is a bit of an exaggeration there. Try one hundred, maybe one and a half. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I wonder why Gandalf is so certain she shouldn't tell anyone about the future. Does he not wonder if they win? Of course, given how unlikely the victory was, it makes perfect sense that Charlotte agrees that changing things would be a bad idea. Oh, good, he did ask if they had hope. Objection withdrawn. |
