to EternalKing's review below: I don't think this fic is mindless at all. What'd you expect to see on a fic centered around THE Red? Typical shounen moments of losing, training on a deserted island then coming back only to get their asses kicked by the new arc's villains? Red won against his region AND still trained. He trained for like, what, years? In that frozen hell. I'd say that if he's not at least stomping the lower-end of the high-tier trainers, then the author probably doesn't even know who Red is.

Also, about the thing with girls getting interested to him... It's not like they're jumping his d*ck or anything. They just notice him more because he's Red. You know, silent to the point of being mistaken as a mute, owner of probably the strongest non-legendary team... His looks is quite the eye-candy too. It's natural for girls to get interested on those kind of guys. Can't explain it well, but uh... it's kind of like the thing with lions.

Now to my comment. Still waiting for an update. It's almost Christmas, a new chapter would be a very nice gift, lol. If not, that's fine, I'll still be waiting for this even after 3 years.

I’ll be honest. This used to be good for a few chapters but it’s honestly gone downhill. In the same vein of the GS fic, Red has become an absolute bore fest to watch fight because of how stupid obvious it is he’s going to win. In fact, just skip over the battles all together because nothing of substance would be lost. Turning Leon into a chump might be hilarious to a lot, but it completely misses the point that he is actually a good trainer inside and out of the game, not to mention that he entirely had a point from his perspective watching a trainer who CAN talk not say anything as his Pokémon takes hit. I had thought or hoped that when the chump fights were over the gym leaders and champions would give a good show but it’s the exact opposite, practically a no show at all just like chapter 1. Every new interaction is just “how can I have this hot girl fall for Red because haha male fantasy” without any good elaboration or “haha Red’s Pokémon go BRRRR”. Zinnia at least did get some good details even if it was overall really unnecessary.

The only lasting hope, which I can already tell is useless, is that the mace protagonist characters aren’t nerfed for Red’s sake. But considering Rosa got chumped and turned into a harem member for no other reason other than she’s hot and Hilbert is only said to have helped out Unova because he has a legendary and not because he’s a good trainer, I won’t hold my breath.

People can praise it all they want, but it’s honestly completely mindless, plain and simple.
