Rather interesting thought there with same-sex marriage, have you ever heard the phrase "Any alternative is preferable to extinction" ?

If the human population is at such a dangerous level as it is the overlord world, then it makes sense that they would do everything in their power to mitigate the risk with such a small gene group. You know that the smaller the group and worse, the smaller the genetic variation, the higher the risk of genetic degeneration. And no, inbreeding is not what I'm talking about, I mean the fact that with less genetics variance and with little to no natural selection for people to opt-out of producing children means a higher risk of a snow-ball effect of a defective gene to pop up and be passed on through the population.

That in turns means that such a defect would be passed on without a noticeable effect. Now this is a minimal issue if this is only happening to one genetic line, but its not. Like the prefect storm, it will build until you end up with entire populations that look like what media around the world shows as the inbreed south.

Also, with a very high chance of orphans being killed or extorted by nastier part of society, it makes sense that they want a male and female raising children to hopefully create able citizens without needing to use public fund to do so. When the world is run by corps in a post-apocalyptic environment where trees died of generations ago, then it makes sense they are cheep about doing to.

Just something to think about when writing. Seems as your writing Ainz here as for a mouth-piece for yourself then as in character. Really, he should be fascinated how such a world can function with so many liberties given to people who live on the whims of fate for survival. Maybe be a bit bitter how they live such lives compare to His people back home.

When I saw it was 11 chapters long I was a bit thankful for some reading material, though you do have your reasons, maybe make announcements at the start of a new chapter akin to an author's note?

Forwords and such really shouldn’t get their own chapters, it only unnecessarily inflates the chapter count.

Interesting so far. This is one of my favourite Overlord fanfictions. And by far, this is the best RWBY x Overlrod fanfiction. Good grammar, spelling, punctuation and pacing. Loving it and looking forward to more.
