... Isn't Gray supposed to be blonde and have a Dragon Core by this point in the timeline? Something about the time Saber was summoned in the forth war changed Gray to more closely resemble her, and even more so after the fifth.

An World: Your understanding on the world is pretty accurate. It's not so much that the world fights against magic, but fights off things it finds unnatural. For example if a mage just cast a fireball, he would feel almost zero fight back against the world. Since elemental magic is quite natural, and most thaumaturgy follows similar cases aswell.

But if you were to use something like imaginary numbers to create a demon, or use necromancy to make a puppet, or trace a noble phanatasm, the world would give a pushback against such occurences. The more unnatural the case is like, lets say the projection of a reality marble, the harsher the world fights back against it.

Sidenote: This might be beating a dead horse, what you called True Necromancy is essentially just heaven's feel no? I mean you're description was different, more akin to something i'd see in a DnD description, but yeah similar enough that it can be considered overlapping the same True magic. Also, yeah people were going to say something about that you essentially compared a bb gun to a sniper rifle when referencing Necromancy and the 3rd true magic.

Lastly even if their world doesn't have a 'consciousness,' it does have Gods, so it's safe to assume that this world has some world consciousness equivalent, just weak. And similar rules to the age of gods can apply, lucky enough it's vague enough, that as a writer you should be able to write the scenario as you wish, with reasonable explanation, and it wouldn't be unbelievable considering they are in an 'alien' world to their own. (Mean that rhetorically. Their is never any definitive proof this world is a parallel world or another planet altogether. The possibilities are literally endless.)

Most of the junk in Shirou's workshop is traced objects that have been there for years. Gradation air is simply a modified version of reinforcement. And tracing is a more advanced version of gradation air, which is considered 'incomplete'. Check the typemoon wiki for details.

That said, he is with a magus, and it's not like he needs to keep his projections out for long to fight. Hell that description isn't wrong, if he died they might dissappear since they are connected to his reality marble. Then again this is Shirou so I could see him forgetting. Passing out after tracing Gram seemed a bit much though, overtaking his circuits to the point he can't fight, but otherwise he wouldn't trace something so powerful without a reason. And those wyverns give off less magic energy than servants, they die to bullets afterall.

This is fanon. Shirou's traced objects do not fade. Tracing is far better than gradation air, and produces high quality objects that perfectly match the origin. On the other hand, this means he needs every detail to trace. Gradation air needs blueprints only.

I reread this chapter and it's great! Minor nitpick though, Shirou's referring to his magecraft as magic when the two are very distinct in the source material. I was under the assumption that Rin informed of such.

I'm happy to see another chapter of this, I enjoyed it and it feels a bit better than the previous ones.

There is an error that I would like to point out (somebody propably already did but I wanted my perspective out there). Necromancy is not true magic/sorcery as far as nasuverse goes. Doesn't matter if it's reanimating corpses, it is different from Heaven's Feel. The third true magic is about giving a soul new life with no sideeffects, reanimating a bodie just makes you a zombie, no soul involved. There is actually a good example of this distinction - in Fate/Apocrypha Mordred's master is Kairi Sisigou is an actual necromancer and a mercenary.

It's not a big deal, barely a sentence inside Shirou's head but I wanted to bring this up since I don't think whatever negative stigma surrounds necromancers in Gate for Magi of Nasuverse it is just another discipline of magecraft nothing more. There are some parts of Shirou's internal monologue that feel a bit weird but it's been getting better so it's fine.

With that said, I'm really looking forward to the conversation with Waver about how they stumbled into a world in the middle of what they would call it, Age of Gods.
