Found this through a rec on International Brouhaha. Gotta say, the weird pairing intrigued me, I’m not a big LOTR fic reader but I gave it a chance and I’m glad I did. Very beautiful story. I appreciated the very light touch for the sexy times, because again, the pairing weirded me out a bit, but you totally made it work and now I want to read more adventures of these two in the lovely universe you made. Excellent job!

I absolutely adored this story. I had no idea what to expect when I started reading it - not having read any other LotR fanfiction made me raise my eyebrows at the pairing in the beginning - and it was beautiful. I finished reading it, read it again, and will probably read it another time somewhere in the future. This is some good tea.

I will admit, not q pairing I would ever seek out nor think of. But I was curious, and the portrayal of characters, while different from Canon, made sense in that they were consistent as to what you have portrayed them as. And as such while I would be opposed to the characters I know being in such a pair, this version of them is sweet and acceptable and I am not sorry to have read all of it

Many years has it been since I last read this story. Yesterday and today I returned to this version of Middle Earth and I found that I appreciate it more so. Thank you again for sharing this wonderful story!

A really good story, very well-written! Looking at the reviews from 2003 it is very clear that the world was a different place 17 years ago. The way the reviewers acted to a gay relationship in fanfiction is shocking. It's so strange to see such a pushback, considering how LGBT-friendly fandoms are now. Writing a story like this was apparently not as acceptable then. Thank you for doing so anyway. It is important to push boundaries like this.

A good story, though at times out of character. The slight rape topic is a bit off. And there should have been a trigger warning.

Elrond is very out of character here. He would NEVER do anything to discomfort Legolas. This has a bad taste of sexual violation and this is something that Elrond would be the last person in Middle Earth to do.

Elrond is 18/32 elf, 2/32 maia, and 12/32 human,just to clarify.

Fantastic! It was my near-first Legolas/Elrond story, and I'll admit that I'd never imagined the two together much, romantic or otherwise. But it was a really great story that broke all my expectations and left me wishing for more. Thank you!
