*Glares at Elrond* I really didn't like him in this chapter. Though the humor was exellent as always. Glorfindels comments about Elrond, Legolas and Assasin were hilarious and had me in stiches when I read them. I do hope Elrond can batch things up with Legolas.

Oh, Wednesday, this is wonderful... I don't know whether to scream and cry, or laugh my head off. Guess it depends on whether I'm looking at this from Elrond's viewpoint, Legolas's viewpoint, or Assassin's... (grin)

As always, your horse stuff was supremely right-on and spot perfect. I have taken to recommending both this story and your Perfect Time series to any writer who wants horse info, or manifestly needs it because of how THEY write horses, because between you, you and Greenleaf get it perfect. Assassin AND the mares are just sublime... and I find it adorable that Assassin made a move to actually follow Legolas when he turned and walked away like that. Two confused steps... Elrond, I hope, took note of that. We KNOW Glorfindel will have noticed... (grin)

So! Elrond is continuing to be a hard-ass, and Legolas is getting fearful, frustrated, and resentful... sounds like time for an appearance from the Wicked King of the North, namely Adar... (wry grin)

I love this story. I love your writing. I love that you gave us a chapter today cuz I seriously needed it. Now I'm going to the barn to see my OWN Assassin, young Jasper the Almighty Pain in the Posterior... (grin) I'll tell him Assassin says hi.

Your Glorfindel is absolutely wonderful in this and your other story. The Balrog-slayer is like one of those larger-than-life heroes that just happened to fit quite comfortably in the role of the most tactlessly-honest, steadfast friend one can ever hope to find. And I cannot enthuse enough on how developed and multi-faceted you have made Elrond and Legolas out to be. The gradual mutual comprehension and their insightful observations of each other are truly an absolute joy to read. Now you've left a tantalizing bit of suspense at chapter 9 and I don't know what is more frustrating, the waiting or the speculating.
