![]() ![]() ![]() Elrond doesn't recognize Legolas at all? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh my gosh, I love this fic, it's so cool! I don't know what to say except good, very, very good. Sorry for the vague review... mm, continue writing, and fast! Looking forward to the next chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! An update! Absolutely beautiful so far, I love how compassionate Legolas is. You have a great talent for description, it's emotional, and the parts with Glorfindel seem to help lighten certain parts. Please post another update soon? -Aithilin |
![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome chapter. I just love this. I can't wait for the next chapter. This story's got the things I love. Legolas/Elrond, angst, funny Glorfindel, stoic Erestor, Gandalf and horses. Greatness. |
![]() ![]() ![]() More Please! Now! Hurry! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, it seemed like forever for this update but the wait was worth it. This story just keeps getting better. please hurry with the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have been waiting anxiously for new chapters, and you don't disappoint, Wednesday. I love your characterizations. The little hints you show us into these elves are wonderful. Glorfindel's nickname for Elrond's library, for instance. ;o) The only other feedback I have is that there were quite a few spelling errors or forgotten words in the last few chapters. I don't know if someone is betaing for you, but if so, they need to watch more carefully for this type of thing. Overall, a gripping story that I can't wait to read more of. May you be quickly inspired to share more soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your story is getting better and better! Will Legolas tell Elrond why he is so tense? How will Elrond react?...So many questions and only you can tell... So update soon! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is an amazing story! You write so well, your characterisations are extremely amusing (I love the way you've handled Elrond and Glorfindel - Elrond is so thoughtful, caring and Glorfindel has such energy and wit!)and you've got a good plot going on here; I can't wait for more! And I must say, in defense of one of my dear friends who is a devoted Christian, nto all are as bad as 123... I write yaoi/slash, and she knows it, but she has never once preached about it! And I must say, I loved your response to that review - you have great wit! _~ I hate people who flame because they're biased, egotistical idiots. Why pick on well written, decent slash stories whilst there is an army of poorly written, clichéd and offensive to any true Tolkien fan mary-sues or 'Legomances'? Ah, sorry for my ranting, I get carried away sometimes ; Keep it up, I can't wait for the next part! You have great talent, and I for one am here to take advantage of that! Peace out and take care, ~Hwoarang Girl *_~* |
![]() ![]() ![]() what lovely chapters... the respect with which you handle all the characters-horses included-is just luminous, as is the writing. The revelation of Legolas's identity was skilfully handled-a marvelous moment! They were expecting a spoiled, demanding brat of a Prince, and instead learned that the lovely, quiet, solemn young archer who has been helping them selflessly all night is the much-awaited Mirkwood royal... just marvelous, and hopefully bodes VERY well for future interaction between Master of Imladris and Prince. The horse situation continues in its tragedy; Legolas is apparently a budding (and talented) psychologist, because he does precisely what is needed to get Elrond thinking clearly instead of being overwhelmed in his grief. Still, I sat here and wept over the mare, grateful that Legolas was there to help her through those last panicked moments of her life. I have heard little freshly-weaned foals make that plaintive little cry for mama to which you refer, and it just tore my heart to imagine that lovely mare unable to make answer. No wonder Legolas had death shadows in his eyes, poor baby... So! Assassin loves him, and Glorfindel is coming to like and respect him, and Erestor... who knows what he thinks? That poor little house-elf is gonna plotz with embarrassment when Legolas's identity is at length revealed to Imladris, and she realized exactly who it was she was kvetching to... (grin) And Elrond... Elrond is stymied and confused and intrigued. And insightful as always, and soon he and Legolas will have dinner together... I cannot WAIT for that chapter! Just lovely, wonderful writing, Wednesday. Splendid stuff. More, more, please... |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is an interesting story. I like it alot and I am eagerly awaiting the next parts. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I remember seeing this story awhile back, but I didn't sit down and read it through until just now. This is wonderful. That's all I can think to say. I love your writing style and pacing, and I'm very much looking forward to the scene where Elrond finds out that Legolas is, well, Legolas. _~ Also, I have a lot of respect for you for refusing to take the story down or let other people tell you how to write it. 123, darling, it's bad manners to leave a review as preachy as yours comes off without giving the author some way of contacting you. If you don't want to deal with the consequences, then don't say it in the first place. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, interesting~! _ Poor leggy though, i would really like to see this finished. Or at least the next part.. Keep writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, I thought it was all right to set the reviews feature to accept annonymous ones only this morning. Nope. Back it goes. Hey, I think that if someone can't sign their review, they're a "hit & run" coward. Period. Let me see what this little creature had to say. ...I *can't* flame it, for I haven't read it. Sorry, I'm not buying that. You click on the update, it takes you to Chapter One, yet you posted a response to chapter 4. Takes a lot of trouble to get there. So, I think you lied about not reading this story. Lying seems a bad way to say hello when you're standing on a Christian soapbox. Why do you wish to waste obvious talent and stories like these? How do you know I have "obvious talent" if you've not read the story? Give me a break. I truly doubt anyone would *publish* things like this, though I may be wrong. Oh, boy, are you wrong. Start with "Gaywyck" and go forward from there. “It is an abomination for a man to lie with another man.” I'm not writing about men. I'm writing about Elves. They're not real, sweetie. Elrond never lived, but you want to live up to him. Yeah, he's a fine archetype and Jung would have a field day with you. He's an icon to you... triggers something in your subconscious. But he's not real. Sorry. Why enforce what is just flat out WRONG? I leave the "enforcing" to the dominatrixes and law enforcement authorities of the world. Come to that, I just don't think homosexual relations between consenting adults is wrong. What someone does in the privacy of their home is their own business. What someone reads in the privacy of their home is also their own business. What someone writes is also their business. You don't like it (and the warnings on this story clearly warn that you won't), don't read it. Move along. I also think you might want to read the current medical community's analysis of homosexualty; it isn't a choice, it's DNA. It says SO. It is WRITTEN. Lots of things are written. You need to read Deuternomy with an eye to all of the stuff that Christians ignore and not just selectively say, "It's WRITTEN, it SAYS SO, we're supposed to LIVE it." You're not living it. Not all of it. You're very, very selective. You don't kill sons who disrespect their fathers. You eat shrimp and other shellfish. Read that little biblical book again, sweetie. There's lots & lots there that has been thrown out over the ages because of *drumroll* societal common sense. You'll be shocked at how much of Deuteronomy YOU aren't obeying. But hey, it's WRITTEN, so better avoid Red Lobster from now on. This story is also written. And it'll keep on being written. I'm not angry with you. I just back away from fanatics. All fanatics, not just Christian ones. The Crusades and the Inquisition led to the death of many innocents because of your kind of intolerance. And by the way, your soapbox doesn't influence this story or what I choose to write one bit. Have fun storming your quixotic heathen castles. ~Wednesday the Obstinate |
![]() ![]() Hey, reviewer 123! Guess what! I think you're another member of that moronic cult known as Christianity! Your 'review' pretty well proves it, I think. Christians are usually pretty cool people, but this prejudicial crap thrown about under the banner of "hey, I'm a Christian and I get to judge the whole friggin' world by my standards" makes *you* a moron. At least read the story before you bash it. ANd preferably, take your narrow-minded, doctrine-driven drivel elsewhere. SHeesh, didn't the Crusades teach you people anything? LIve and let live. Or, how about "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or "be ye kind, one to another." How about "Judge not lest ye be judged." Forgot about those, didn'tcha. Remove the log from your eye before trying to remove the mote from your brother's because you are definitely blinder than a bat. This is a great story, written by a terrific author who deserves respect for her talents and the courage she's shown in sharing her stories with us in the face of abuse by total idiots who can't allow anyone else to have another point of view. Just as well you don't know what books she's published as you'd probably go after the publisher in the name of your stupid zealot ideals. Go away, moron 123. We're not listening. |
