This is what fanfic should be! Fun, fun and more fun! As an aviation enthusiast, I was geeking-out with every chapter. (Who would have thought, an HDM story that mentioned the Convair Sea Dart! One of my favorite prototype planes!)

I have not read "The Twisted Cross" yet, but I expect and hope to see plenty of Luftwaffe "paper projects" in full use. (Please, let the Focke-Wulf Triebflugel be one of them!) From the teaser, I hope Lyra gets to bust plenty of caps (as we Yanks say)in Dr. Mengele, as he would remind her of dear old mum!

Anywoozle, awesome story. It was probably the funniest HDM story I've read yet, and third funniest I've read ever.

Pretty good so far althought its hard to tell where one paragraph ends and another begins. But thats hardly your fault. I like the concept you got going!

Wow, awesome story. It's nothing like any other fanfic I've read, but in this case that's a good thing. Original, funny, almost a parody-but that's the kind of story I like, so this is definitely going on my favorite stories list. Good job!

Heh, cute prologue. Honestly, don't worry about what's entirely original and what's not - this *is* fanfiction, so a lot of it isn't original. Of course, in my opinion, your fic is entirely original (aside from the obvious HDM stuff), so the aforementioned is moot. ;) Looking forward to your next chapter. Don't put yourself down! My opening is not any better or worse - I figure we're on the same par, as far as openings go. We'll just have to see what happens when you and I (finally) update... :)

It's OOC, it's non-canonical (Mrs Parry's given name is Elaine, not Emily), it switches narrative modes from 1st to 3rd pp and back... it breaks all the rules... and gets away with it. Spectacularly!

I'm no fan of Will / Lyra reunion fics, but this one takes an approach I like - the third person observing the reunion and not taking it too seriously. Yep - that's what I like about this fic - it goes like the clappers (too quickly, really) and simply doesn't seem to give a f* for convention.
