Yes, Tony is an absolute asshole. But it's ridiculous, and victim-blaming, to assert that he chose to castrate himself of his own free will.

I very much hated, as was intended by the authors, how Paige was treated in stories that expanded on Paige's conviction and imprisonment(I've not read the canon). I really liked this version of events.

Very well written. Due to a psychological disorder, I am finding it extremely difficult to appreciate a lot of stories. Even so, this is one of the stories I do appreciate.
The terminologies used, the arguments used, the logic used, the premise and plot - they couldn't have been better.

It's an important term, 'Moral Courage'.

To others it means 'Willingness to stick to a code when it's obviously a bad idea.'
But 'To understand what you are doing goes against your religion, your creed or your duty. But to do it anyway because it Needs to be done for humanity.'

Morality is the knowing of good and evil.

Courage is to experience fear, and overcome it.

Moral Courage, then is to see that something, while needed, is a terrible evil, but to overcome that fear. The quality of understanding what you are about to do is monstrous, to realize the horror that it is and be repulsed by that. To know that it will wrack you with guilt for the rest of your life, that you will some day have to account for what you are about to do, and to go through with it still.

Moral Courage is to do what needs to be done, without ever becoming callus to the things you are doing.

Because it is when you stop feeling guilt for failing in your duties that you become lax.

So when I consign millions to death, I do so not with a clear heart, but wracked by tears and guilt.
But I still consign those millions to death so that trillions may live.

WRT your second question, WoG is that her power is severely disrupted by any level of technological interference, even something as simple as singing into a microphone and having it come out a speaker. So the only reason her power took effect on her boyfriend was because she spoke to him in person while it was still spun up. Still not sure if that adds up, but there's at least a handwave for it.

Corporations being allowed to run every industry and infiltrate every facet of life is a recipe for disaster — especially when it comes to public safety — and they should always be made to know their limits. At the same time, corporations exist for a reason and are made up of people, not cartoon villains (even if the people at top can be greedy jerks) and "tearing down the system" instead of fixing it will lead to just as much death and horror as letting them run rampant.

That’s another aspect to possibly raise at her trial - she may be able to give people orders, but they decide how to carry out those orders, unless she explicitly tells them to do it only one way.
