Epic fights, epic chapter. Well worth the wait. I finished this right after finishing the zed comic and it’s kind of unfortunate that this chapter came out before the final zed issue because of the things that happened there.

Actually one of the best stories I've ever read and I've read a lot. I wouldn't even be surprised if this story becomes one of the most favorited/reviewed ones in this fandom when it's completed, or even while still in progress. Really enjoy your writing and I find myself excited for every new chapter!

Ionia is really a wild place to be. This makes the adventures to come even more exciting. Also even though this isn't a romance fic, the growing bond between irelia and garen can't be ignored. And you have an excellent taste of pairings, sett and ahri was a pleasant surprise. They looked so cute together

First off, a big THANK YOU! to all who read, reviewed and favored my story. I seriously love you people and your considerations (plus choosing to read my tale in your time off).

Secondly, a little clarification:
This is indeed the second attempt by Shen and Zed to capture Jhin, which is their current alliance in the comics. However, in this series of events, they succeed and ambush the Golden Demon at one of the ports in Raikkon, where he attempted to escape (spoiler for further on, but not really, anyone can see where this went). Shen, however, discovered certain things about our favorite four-obsessed perfectionist and decided to spare his life. Zed, as you all know, had issues with the whole thing and ended the Alliance right then and there. Since Garen and Irelia have been away for two months, in that time period Shen and Zed captured Jhin, but due to Shen's discoveries and outside circumstances, his life was spared and now Zed once again returns to his original goal of protecting Ionia... by any means necessary.

All of that being said, I still can't believe how much this grew. I was expecting maybe 10 or 15 reviews at most by the end of it all, but here we are at nearly 40 at the beginning (oh yes, my friends, there's a LOT more on its way), not to mention the 8000 global visits.

Really nice story, though I could see a few errors. For example, it says that the golden demon has been caught and sent to trial. However, this story takes place after the murder of kusho, and judging by the way zed speaks in the last segment and the manner in which they said jhin had been sent to trial makes it seem as if sed killed kusho before the capture of jhin. Now, I could be simply mistaken, as the way the words are phrased is quite uncertain, but the capture of jhin happened 16 years ago. Back then, garen would srill be a child, swain would still have his arm(so no pact with demon yet), and irelia would still only be dancing. Also, the current ionian story arc has zed and shen working toghether to find jhin, not actively attempting to kill each other. Or at least, that's what I would have written a few months ago, before the comics. In the comics, jhin has made his escape and is planning to kill shen and zed, who are both trying to hunt down the golden demon. And you can also see that kayn is alive and well, but missing rhaast. This may signify that the comic is taking place in the past, and that zed and shen may already have captured jhin. Zed would try to kill jhin, shen would deny(again), and jhin would, again, be sent for court, exactly like sixteen years ago. However, this is just a crazy theory that popped into my head while writing this. I just remembered that a random rioter stated on twitter that jhin would cause someone in piltover a lot of trouble, and that someone was a figure that they couldn't state yet. This was before the release of camille, and after that, the awaken cinematic has basically confirmed the someone to be camille. Now, the comics are obviously taking place in Ionia, which is not piltover. This suggests that jhin will travel to piltover in the future. Kinda hard to travel in jail, I guess. So:

Tl;dr: jhin was captured 16 years ago, zed killed kusho some time after that, and jhin escaped so zed and shen are hunting him down right now. And jhin will be headed to piltover, so shen and zed wil ultimately fail to capture jhin. So your story has some mistakes.
But then again, who gives half a flying fuck. Really nice story, thought it was on hiatus forever and was pleased to see an update. Hope the next chapter will be soon.
