This review to correct a misunderstanding you, or Tom, or both, (might) have.

That was a kill by suffocation. When a person is buried up to their lungs exhaling causes the soil to fill the space that was once occupied by the persons expanded chest. Humans can't develop enough lung strength to move that amount of soil, so they can't breathe.

The only way a human could survive would be to be dug out. A wizard could only survive on a timed port key as they would be unable to speak. The possible execption would be apparition, but this fellow had spent at least 2 minutes suffering oxygen deprivation. Since wizards don't run he's either out cold and nearly dead or nearly so, leaving him in no state to apparate.

Thus, that wizard is dead. QED.

i havent read this in a while but i remember the only criticism i could think of was: in the chapters when tom as trying to be moral, he kept telling himself to be moral, and i think you should have instead make his character be more and more reluctant to do things that he once would have done without blinking.

gonna reread this anyway, its been stuck in my mind since i first read it a year or so ago.

I've been looking for a good fic that involves adventure in the wider Harry Potter world for a while now, and kept not finding one I Loved. I don't generally read Riddle fics as his brain is generally pretty messed up if done well, but someone's high praise on Reddit convinced me to give this one a try. Glad I did. Your world building is straight up amazing and I've really loved watching Riddle's psyche become more empathetic as he patches himself back together. Also your Sirius and Riddle playing off of each other amuse me to no end.

Please continue the story, this story really is something else and is one of the best tom riddle centric fics I have read. Really hope you finish it and we get to see the end of it. Hope your not dead or anything.

wait, why is he keeping the chineeseness. this guy was vain enough to sacrifice beauty for immortality and a high age grimoire as a fair trade, but he's chosen to permanently spliced some random ass muggle into his looks for literally no reason? if he was somehow stuck with it(at least for the convenience of not having to get a replacement) after resorting to that the first time sure but he's gone out of his way to not look like himself with this new clone.
