Reviews for This Can't Be Good |

![]() ![]() I must admit that I was hooked on this story. It was definitely something different and had a lot of involvement from all the characters in one way or another. I liked that it had you going from scene to scene so that you could be with everyone along the way. I'm glad that Hojo decided to do something about his pendant in the modern era. Miroku figuring out at the end that the reason he listened to and gave wisdom to Hojo, despite his dislike, was because of his connection to Mushin and that his upset about Shippo was likely related to his previous incarnation's death by Kitsune... Pure genius. Miroku's likely 'horror' at the fact that Hojo predicted that Kagome was never meant to shatter the Jewel and stay there for them or maybe never meet some of them at all at the end was something I would have loved a spin-off or another story altogether about. Well done! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I know this was written a long time ago, but I have to say that I’m reading this while I’m going to work by subway and I’m laughing like nobody’s looking at me. The characters are SO WELL WRITTEN! And it’s a nice and easy reading fic because there’s no 30 pages in each chapter. |
![]() ![]() This is maybe the fourth or fifth time I’ve read this fic and I keep meaning to tell you how much I love it, and I’m excited enough about the Inuyasha anime sequel that I’m finally doing it. I really really really love this fic of yours. The characters are so well written and it’s an incredibly fun premise, your writing is amazing- I wish I could write like you. I fully intend to read your Lucifer ficus soon, I love that show. |
![]() ![]() ![]() New to the Inuyasha fics. But yes! Why don't more people mention it? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Question: Was Hojo the reincarnation of Miroku's master? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Uwu I've finally finished and I have to say this sorry was.. Pretty amazing with the plot twists and all- However, I also have a little problem following in certain parts, like who's saying what sometimes. Nonetheless, I love how involved Miroku was in this and I love how you portrayed the characters so well! |
![]() ![]() ![]() You know I don't even remember what I expected when I started this story, but it certainly wasn't this. :) While a bit difficult to follow in the beginning, that's mostly because of how intense this story is - the characters and how you write them. The plot isn't largely complicated or long for a story that's over 100k, but it doesn't seem that way because of, again, that intensity. It's well worth the read. I enjoyed it a great deal. It was incredibly hilarious in parts, touching in others, sweet, tense or exciting in yet others. The misunderstandings, the broken moments, the slow burn, the Kikyo-Inuyasha-Kagome triangle with just enough bitterness. The way Hojo just got on every guy's nerves without even trying. XD I promptly went looking if you've got other stories this long, it was such a great read. :) |
![]() ![]() The twist was pretty good, but the style you wrote it in is quite confusing. |
![]() ![]() I still don't know why Inuyasha didn't just tell Kagome. |
![]() ![]() So why hasn't Inuyasha told Kagome that Hojo want to kill Shippo yet? Other than for plot purposes, I mean. |
![]() ![]() What the fuck is going on? |
![]() ![]() While your story is funny, it is often hard to understand. You need to include a bit more detail. I'm sure you have it in your head about what is going on, but it isn't clearly written out. For example, I don't know who is saying what, and when a person interrupt his own thoughts, I don't know what the completion is supposed to be. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "I wouldn't mind being reborn as one" ... I can't believe I didn't pick that up. What a twist. Really well done. Loved it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I started this story just a few days ago, and I thought I knew what I could expect going in. Inuyasha's jealousy, Kagome trying to keep the peace, Hojo stumbling wide-eyed through this world and Kagome's secret life having to be babysat to avoid death. Even when things became so much more complicated and darker, I thought I could at least make out the resolution. I was so wrong. I've spent an hour just sitting here and piecing everything together in my head, staring at my phone like a moron. Take solace, Miroku; you're not the only fool caught in the middle. This was so well done I don't even know how to begin praising you for it. |
![]() ![]() Miroku, the lonely old man. Ouch. I felt Miroku'd pain |
