I don't even know what to say after reading this chapter. You hope never to read about this topic because in my head it doen't happen but on the other hand it's good to read about it and see how they deal with it.

I still can't believe that they are this old already, I still se them with the age they had on the show.

These stories are all lovely glimpses into the continuing love story.

By as with life the inevitable end is closer and that is sad.

This chapter is beautifully written. The truth of their fear, and the strength of love in the face of that fear, is illustrated perfectly in the above words. I'm crying. It's a small blessing to have a discussion like they have in this chapter. Everything does eventually end, but Love survives.

This chapter was kind of hard to read. Not because of Rick's cancer though that's always a possibility in my husband's life since his mother, father, and youngest brother had cancer. But because of their time together. Much to my surprise we've reached 40 years together. I hadn't thought of that until I read tonight's chapter. All of a sudden part of Rick and Kate's lives became a part of my own.
