8 chapters in and I think I'm done. There's just nothing going on. Not a single character has any real motivation or goal. There's no story here. Our characters need to want something for us to care.

Y'know when Jabba sent his goons to steal everyone's water I thought that finally we had something. Finally our characters had something to do. Maybe the assassination would go wrong somehow and the story could actually start taking some turns.

Nope. That plot line is wrapped up in like 3 paragraphs and with no conflict, the story instantly lost all its wheels. Now we get chapters where nothing happens. I suspect that you noticed this too, hence why we now find ourselves skipping months and months at a time between scenes. Scenes which have little to know impact on the story and prob could be cut tbh. Idk why we need to know that baby Luke/Leia called the big banthas, and if it is important it prob could have been worked into a more impactful scene.

With 20 or so chapters left to read, maybe these issues change but I'm not seeing much promise here. Sorry.
