If I recall correctly, Dumbledore told Harry in canon that the blood protection given to him by Lily acted as a sort of Horcrux in that as long as Voldemort was alive, Harry wouldn't die.

Meaning that Harry could theoretically take a hundred killing curses and still live as long as Voldemort was still alive (although Voldemort's soul fragment wouldn't survive the first curse).

So I fail to see why Dumbledore would want Voldemort to only cast that Killing Curse at Harry.

After all, it would have been so much easier to simply cast an Imperius curse at a Death Eater in the battle happening in this chapter and have that person send a Killing Curse Harry's way...

Harry would definitely live.

In canon, it made sense to tell Snape that Voldemort must be the one to kill Harry because Voldemort was obsessed with the idea of personally killing Harry. Additionally (and more importantly) Dumbledore knew that he wouldn't be around to actively influence things...

This story totally deserve its sliw ipdating. It's so good you need time to imagine and write it so perfectly.
I have one question : how did the death eaters manage to kill the Dursleys ? Weren't they supposed to be protected by Harry's blood ?
