It does seem that you have an entire "lore" for this series figured out, despite it being a fanfic. Which I find refreshing, of course.

Not sure what else to say, though I did enjoy the chapter.

Glad to see that the Princess isn't just the "dumb silly teenage girl" archetype, haha. She clearly does care about what happens despite her experience. I had some of that fear going into the story that she would be that certain tired archetype, not that there's any problem with certain characters starting out as a bit spoiled and immature.

Not bad. I'm reading this again. I like the character development.

On another note:

I felt like I was reading A Song of Ice and Fire while going through this; do you take some inspiration from that in your writing or...?

Alright, finished this chapter after finishing The Book of Boba Fett's first episode. It was a nice hour or so to my time.

Seems Bannondorf went to Ganondorf (his Chad form) with some blood. Nice.

I suspect that if the Queen knew Vaati's name, they might very well recognize it, but that would depend on how much history is present at this point. Wonder how Lance will develop going forward.

Gaius is certainly interesting. Wonder if there will be others on his task force, but I guess we'll see. The Huang Shi person could be interesting. Wonder how this plot will develop.

Okay, I half-expect Poe Dameron from Star Wars to come out of nowhere and say: "Somehow Ganondorf returned."

I'm guessing that we may have progressed significantly in the "set-up chapters" so far, though I still expect a few more. I'll mull over the chapter a bit when I come back as I'm kinda busy right now.

I'm... not sure how I feel about how the indigenous or tribal people are portrayed in the jungle region. Maybe I'm being too critical. It's just a story, I suppose. Eh, whatever, I'll continue.

On another note, I just remembered that at one point, a character says "I fail to see how that's my problem." And I couldn't help but kinda smile at that "Bully Maguire" meme line (not saying that you got it from, say, the Spider-Man movies, but a friend sent me a video recently with that line in it and I found it pretty, well, silly).

Anyways, this character development chapter reminded me of this quote:

Well, okay, I do like the fact that Link, you know, moves on from his relationship with Midna in this story. I mean, yeesh, God forbid that he fall in love with another person after his first flame, am I right?

Anyways, looks like we have on person that hates feudalism (him going on about royals and nobles). I mean, I can't say I blame him. Not sure if Nintendo even cares that the kingdom of Hyrule is monarchist, though they do seem to have *some* self-rule when it comes to the various provinces (at least when it comes to the Zora, Gorons, etc.).

Damn, Princess can't catch a break. And she has a doppleganger on top of it that hates her. Begun, the Clone Wars have, I guess.
