| LoneTraveler chapter 9 . 3/6 You made this guy smart enough to come up with ideas to keep the situation from going south (like digging up Tom Sr’s bones), but then not do any of them. It’s like he failed from near laziness. This is my first reading of a Self Insert. It seems like when a character of the book goes back in time into themselves they’re more urgently motivated to change things. I’m thinking that’s probably better dramatically. |
| alominus chapter 1 . 2/28 My biggest complaint here was yet another HP fanfic using the room of requirement as the story's crutch for the MC to 'catch up'. I like the merge and not really having to learn everything from the beginning, but man, I'm literally yet to read a single hp fanfic that doesn't use the room of requirement within the first 2-3 chapters. It's kinda grating. |
