Reviews for The End of Eternity: Rise of the Terran Alliance |

CReaper210 chapter 15 . 9/28/2020 Great chapter! Definitely felt more like filler than other chapters, but that's not a bad thing, it certainly helps with the worldbuilding. I like the aspect of aliens visiting Terran institutions and learning about them. My favorite parts of stories like this are the cultural impacts and implications of first contact so that kind of stuff is really important to me. I'm still not sure exactly where this black fleet thing is going and so I can't comment on that for now. One thing I would be interested in is some insight as to how further ingrained the Rachni are within the alliance. They seem to present an important change compared to canon, but they're also absent from the bulk of the story so far. I could be interesting to see more interaction with them and in particular between them and the Council races and what bad blood still exists there. And the AN about the Alliance being OP. It's really not a problem for me. You can still make an engaging story with a powerful protagonist/faction. Especially so if you're trying to have an overview and go for the more political route, which I frankly prefer anyways. I think you've done a rather good job so far of making the Alliance powerful and competent, but not overwhelming. I'm not convinced they can fight their way through the whole galaxy and that's enough for me. The better test will be if they can be diplomatic enough to get along with enough people to avoid getting attacked from all sides and potentially make even more allies. But anyway, I can't think of anything else. Thank you for updating, I'm looking forward to more :) |
GrayAngel13 chapter 15 . 9/28/2020 Great chapter, read the last five up till now and was worth it. Can't wait for more. |
Okami Princess chapter 15 . 9/28/2020 I can't wait to see what kinds of things the Quarians can discover about Morgan 0-4. Like new dextro pharmaceuticals, ingredients like herbs and spices and such, possibly textiles materials like silks and other such fabrics. Would be awesome if it's the Quarians and not the Turians who create a dextro version of chocolate in this universe (the Levo version will probably become VERY popular among the Asari and Elcor, more so the dark chocolate version for the Elcor since they're herbivores). The art of Barbecue will probably take off pretty fast for the Turians and Krogan, possibly even the Quarians too. And I bet the Terrans will probably become fascinated by aspects of other species cultures as well (it will probably become popular for awhile to adapt non-Terran dishes with Terran ingredients.). And the Terran wine industry will probably be giddy at the thought of making their own 'Asari wines' using Terran terroir to see how the taste changes. And the Asari wine industry is probably keen to do the same with Terran wine grapes and Asari terroir. On a different subject, I wonder if the corsairs working with the Blood Pack might go some way towards improving relations with the Krogan, or at least Clan Weyrloc and it's allies? After all, best way to make friends with a Krogan is probably to go kill mutual enemies together. Either that or somehow manage to drink a Krogan under the table. I wouldn't be surprised if things go well enough if the leader of the Blood Pack might be keen to open recruitment to Terrans so they'd have an excuse to get rid of the Vorcha. I doubt the Krogan of the Blood Pack are too fond of the Vorcha's habit of eating the dead, both of their enemies AND their allies. |
FailedKeikaku chapter 15 . 9/28/2020 who the hell has been moaning about them being OP? shut up! i want my OP humanity fic, how about we keep moaning about humanity being weak so that the author makes them stonger? ;) ;) just messing, you doing good work on this story so write it how you want to write it, backseat drivers i tell you |
Chloe chapter 14 . 9/8/2020 Hope a new chapter comes soon |
Guest chapter 14 . 9/1/2020 Please update soon |
HelpingHand chapter 14 . 9/2/2020 The Batarians can be put to good use, they could “smuggle” element zero out of the Alliance and sell it to the Citadel races. Humans get to sell element zero at a high price (to them) and the Citadel would have their entire economy in tatters, the Batarians would make a lot of money but they would probably spend it all as soon as they got it letting the Alliance pull the rug out from under them whenever they want. Everyone wins … or at least the humans win. The Asari might panic and put a tariff on all Batarian goods. If that happened the Alliance could “crack down” on element zero “smuggling” then with the sudden influx of money then the stopping of all of it the Batarian Hegemony might collapse from that alone. Then the Alliance can come in and help them with their plight that the mean Asari put them in. I really like your story by the way. |
Benatwork61 chapter 14 . 8/30/2020 This is one of the better stories I have read in the mass effect world I like the pacing and story line and the cross over with bioshock is very well done I look forward to the next update |
Wongjunkit chapter 1 . 8/22/2020 Population growths seemed kinda slow. I mean we went up from a couple of billion to 7 billion in less than a century. And the rate is exponential, so it ain't slowing down from there. |
1 love m4gic chapter 3 . 8/21/2020 The only problem i have is with that motto... i mean, it was never officially accepted as the motto of humanity right? Several crew members even mentioned god, and i wonder how the majority of humans and nations(more than 5 billion of them religious at the moment 2020) would have accepted it?! |
1 love m4gic chapter 1 . 8/21/2020 Atheist culture... haha... hahaha... when Atheists started to appear, the "culture" they had was already deeply influenced by religion on many levels, just as it did with the majority of Western civilization. Just sayin... So, their concepts of good and bad, etc, is highly based on that... AND, there is only one problem with massive government control... who will decide what is important for mankind and what is not?! The president? The people? Those same people that can be misguided and swayed easily by the media?! Some would say faith can give reason to go forward, while technology will become commonplace and available(when everyone will live in relative prosperity), humans will look MORE and more for the esoteric and divine... The religious bodies are not that important, but in my opinion, religion is a way of life, a guide, and it could unite and propel forward humanity on a more spiritual level than simple logic and technology. Still, this looks good so far, i only hope you will not make it into a bullcrap "communist utopia" and go full radical with everything. Looking forward to more... |
Darkcrest27 chapter 10 . 8/13/2020 liking the story so far but i have a small nitpick NCO's rarely if ever wind up as Officers. the lowest rank Captain(as of Mass effect 1) Anderson should have been was ensign and General(as of Mass Effect 3) Petrovski should have been no lower than a lieutenant |
Blaze1992 chapter 14 . 7/31/2020 Aww no Krogan interaction here. |
MarceloMuniz50 chapter 8 . 7/28/2020 KKKK, sorry, I just read you chapter 7, thank you for your answer to my thoughts |
MarceloMuniz50 chapter 7 . 7/28/2020 Hi, love this history until now, just one question, why humans dont developed a way to shutdown the mass relay? or just destroy it , that would be enough to stop any enemy from cross through it |
