Guest chapter 1 . 8/21/2019 So, what exactly made Rapture stop from becoming a "deconstruction" of Ayn Rand's beliefs? Because Jack Ryan clarifying what he means by "Altruism" makes me think you actually read Ayn Rand and how it may not simply be about material desires |

DAWNWRIGHTER chapter 1 . 8/13/2019 Yikes, that "utopia science nation" out in the middle of buck ass nowhere who seemed to have conquered human nature like greed and tribalism is one of, of not the most cringeworthy AU human nations I have ever seen. |
DahakStaz chapter 6 . 8/13/2019 Nice, while I understand that the Turians have reasons for all of their mistakes and this is one big misunderstanding combined with clusterfuck I still love to see their asses being kicked by humans. Now traditionaly I have few Ideas to add to the story, and like always your free to use them. -Droids/Robots- Rapture have drones that could fight, now the Alliance have Mechs suits(the Pretorian) and fully functioning A.I. Why don't they crete and produce entire armies of droids to help in industry to for example make them warking on planets where conditions are to harsh even for Adam echanced people to work safely, or to build entire armies in literal sense of battle droids with rudimentary V.I to function and under command of a Human pired with A.I like the Pathfinder from ME Andromeda. Or create an carrier choke full of droid fighters that don't need to worry about humans on board and can make trult insane manevures. -Adam enchanced Rachni-I admit that one is partialy(or mostly) to see council reaction to Rachni spewing flames, lightning or ice. -Shiled generator capital ship- A very big starship which main role is projecting a big ass shield around entire fleet and tanking the few first enemy salvos without problem while alowing the fleet to shoot on enemy with impunity. It would lack any capital weapons but be chock full of power reactors, redunant shield generators and armor to protect all this hardvere. |
Okami Princess chapter 6 . 8/12/2019 Hi! New reader here, and I just wanted to say that I like what you’ve written so far. I love how you’ve incorporated the Rachni as a client race of humanity, I’ve come to be pretty fond of them ever since I’ve read ‘The Spirit of Redemption’ by . If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it, (And it’s prequel ‘The Spirit of Truth’) and I practically wish it was canon, I love it that much. ‘TST SNGS ND CKE SNGS’ (you get a cyber cookie if you understood that reference!) Though I’m hoping though that this story’s ‘First Contact War’ doesn’t go on chapters wise for a long time, which seems to be a pitfall that quite a few other Mass Effect writers seem to fall into in my opinion. And I’m hoping that it’ll be more then just the humans, Synths, Praxians (like you said, they’re practically a sub species at this point), and Rachni that will be part of this new galactic alliance of species that humanity is starting to build (one that could rival, possibly even surpass the Citadel Council). Speaking of other species, lots of things bother me about how the Council had handled the Krogan. For one thing, did you know that with the way the genophage functions, is that most of the Krogan children born are stillborn? Why the heck didn’t they make it so that they lay less eggs instead of putting them through that kind of trauma? The Salarian Dalatrasses act like utter sadistic witches and put a ton of salt in the wound of the defeat of the Krogan by having their scientists make the genophage that way?! Another thing is that the whole ‘1 in 2000’ eggs (Krogan females can lay up to 1000 eggs in a year through multiple clutches) being viable thing sounds like (from what I’ve gleaned from canon) it’s not enough to keep their numbers stable despite what the Salarians claim, and they’re dying out at the rate they’re going. However before the genophange one of the biggest reasons why the Krogan Rebellions started (besides the male Krogans mostly being hotheaded combat junkies, the females seem to mostly be the ones with the levelheadedness required for diplomacy skills) was that their numbers kept outstripping their assigned colonies resources, and started pillaging and raiding other species colonies in an attempt to gain more resources. So if you ask me, finding some way of giving the Krogan females some way to control how many eggs they lay, convincing the Krogan into having their own laws that the Krogan female clans would be willing to enforce that regulated how many eggs each female could be allowed to lay in their lifetime as to prevent any Krogan planet’s population outstripping their resources (I imagine laying so many eggs can be a bit of a strain, even for Krogan, so I imagine having much shorter labors would be considered a boon for them.) while keeping the population numbers stable, THEN curing the genophage would probably be a good idea. In regards to the cause of this ‘First Contact War’...boy is it going to be embarrassing for a lot of the Terran Alliance that a human supremacy group popped up like that right under their noses and caused a catastrophe like this! (Along with a lot of ‘Aw shit here we go again.’) Then again, if the council points this out then the TA could point out that the Salarians (I think I remember some sort of Salarian supremacy group whose goal was to figure out a way to expand Salarian lifespans through any means, can’t remember the name, being mentioned in canon somewhere in the canon codex) the Turians, and the Asari (I’m just guessing with the latter two) all have their own species supremacy groups, and then recite the names of them. And tell them they shouldn’t be throwing stones in glass houses in that regard. I could also see the Terran Alliance swearing to the Citadel Council that they would make sure that the terrorists responsible for this mess would face justice for all their crimes, or failing that at least make them pay in blood. |
ThePhenakism chapter 6 . 8/12/2019 Awesome story ! Glad I come across it |
CReaper210 chapter 6 . 8/12/2019 I enjoyed it. Was a bit disappointed to see the previous story discontinued, but if you weren't confident in how you set that one up, it's better to start anew as you had. In any case, I do like this story and the fact that the story feels more tight as a whole is probably an indication that the rewrite was necessary. Anyways, thank you for writing! Looking forward to more :) |
AmanoRyo chapter 6 . 8/12/2019 Thank you it was very satisfying, you gave them a reasonable advantage for them to win this round unlike most fics where they dont do simple surprise tactics. I hope you continue making them do logical decisions in future battles and not straight up confrontations. If you ever do the meeting with the council i hope you wont make the same mistakes as other authors wherein they give in too much or too less to the negotiation table, sometimes the civilian government has too much power thus making the military weaker and give in to their BS. I hope you fix this problem sooner to avoid politicians blocking stuff and making some actions easier in the future Ps. This on mobile sorry |
