You could prove to the nay-sayers that fanfic has merit (and you might make enough for a decent allowance to boot.) Get Published, I say, and let any disparagers (not a real word but should be) go hang.

A unique and creative premise.
I particularly liked Mr Bennet's voice and his brilliant banter.
The plot and the characters reactions felt plausible.
I thought it went off track a bit in the middle and that it was a tad reflection-heavy but I have concentration issues so it might just be me...
