Reviews for In Our Nature
Lookathooves chapter 1 . 5/15
As I promised, I've returned to begin reviewing this one! This must obviously be your dear baby, for there are SO MANY chapters! Honestly I'm super excited to read this. The first chapter alone was highly detailed and made me feel for Zami. The emotions you capture in your writing is fantastic and never let any negative review tell you otherwise.
Lustymint chapter 141 . 3/15
I'm so glad to see you back! I've been reading since December, and yours is the only fanfic I have email notifications for. Love everything about it. Trolls have always been my favorite male protagonist, and you write them so well. All your characters are so believable.

I'm going to go read your new fanfic now that I'm all caught up on this one. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
Juanaby chapter 10 . 2/22
Hm, more, MORE. Miserable in Thunder Bluff? How?

Ooh name dropping. Love it. The Circle, Moonglade. Yay.

I have a problem with how easy the travel is...it breaks my suspension of disbelief a bit since traveling in the game is one of my favorite (by no other choice) pastime, and such a huge part of the logistics of the world.
Juanaby chapter 9 . 2/22
Your characters seem perfectly real, flawed and unique. You've put trolls on my radar :D especially with the accents.

Mulgore! I hope you do it justice! Love that place actually got something in the works involving it and I'm curious how you write about it.
Juanaby chapter 8 . 2/22
I feel your pain on writing canon characters. I suffer from the same fear, but you did a good job with Vol'jin.

I'm glad to see the plot is moving right along, I'm hooked.
Juanaby chapter 6 . 2/22
I love the easy conversations, seems natural. Other than the fact that he doesn't feel pain the MC seema pretty natural too, for my idea of a troll.

I think he doesn't feel pain bc he's eye only bothers him bc it's not healed but bc of the pain it should be causing. And when learning of his brother's deaths he doesn't grieve(feel pain) unless his absentmindedness means he's numb(still processing.)

Again great culture showing through.
Juanaby chapter 4 . 2/22
You've showcased the culture beautifully.

I'm confused why the arm of one brother and the leg of the other didn't regenerate or get healed...I'm okay with applying limits, in fact I admire when writers do, but still wondering.

Nice jokes there, 'back on his feet' and 'way with animals' very nice!
Juanaby chapter 2 . 2/22
This one seems a bit summerized, I would have appreciated a bit of sight seeing XD

No mount on the airship? If the sister was only a few hours away why hasn't he visited in so long? Maybe a money issue, was the zepplin ride free?
Juanaby chapter 1 . 2/22
Fantastic first chapter! I love the personification of the raptor mount and inclusion of details. Great world building here, I get the sense of a huge world not so easily traversed as in the game. Nice effect! Great writing style also, pace etc. Definitly favoring and following!
IDontHaveAnAcc chapter 120 . 2/18
Nvm, disregard the character development part of my last review.
I suppose this'll teach me to keep reading before I get too worked up about something.
IDontHaveAnAcc chapter 62 . 2/18
Okay, I didn't want to be this way, but you leave me no choice this time, your mistakes keep piling up.

You. Just. Keep. FAILING! In all seriousness: please do read, because even though this might seem harsh, I genuinely want you to learn from this. Or you might manage to disprove me with sensible arguments and maybe I learn something.

First of all:
"Be it the muddy Swamp of Sorrows or the blahblahblah" (rest of sentence not important)
To which he reacts "Not in da Eastern Kingdoms, it seem,"
Buddy, I got news for you: Swamp of Sorrows IS in the Eastern Kingdoms. How can you even mess this up?

-

Aside from Mythene, whose personality is actually developing nicely, the rest -your MC, his brother, Zen'tabra- are so one dimensional with zero personality development and ARTIFICIALLY ENFORCED stupidity that it hurts the brain to read. Why would you do this?

-

And finally:
About that time when your MC learns to heal: Druid healing would exactly be the opposite of how you describe it. Since much of what they do is not actually their own power, and ESPECIALLY their healing is all about borrowing the powers of nature, you would need a positive aura to draw helping spirits in, A.K.A. happy thoughts. Its not a "willing-away-the-pain by going pain, pain, go away in your mind's eye" moment, but one of focus, inspiration, and nurturing. Anybody who has a more-than-passing interest in the WoWverse should already know about this. How can you even mess this up? :)
Slycerr chapter 100 . 1/5
Kinda hoped for a tree-arm...
Slycerr chapter 8 . 1/3
it seems they have small brains for such big bodies...
Merisana chapter 132 . 12/27/2020
Love love looove. Need to draw something about these two lovelies! All the fluff is speaking to my heart lately.
And as I told you before, I started considering Trolls more and more interesting thanks to Zami. I'll let you know when I got something, I'm working on some sketches!
Thanks for updating, going to review Boombottle! too right now :D
Love,
M.
Merisana chapter 131 . 12/24/2020
Dear Ravunn, I love this story and even if I've been gone for a while I often thought about it. Your characters are so well written, It could definitely be a novel! I just wanted to tell you this should have much more reviews. I honestly don't understand why It only got 30 reviews because It's a beautiful work. Zami is of course my favourite, I'm totally in love with him. I always loved Trolls but I've never thought about them in this way. I'm going to write some reviews for other chapters too even if I just finished reading all the available ones. I need to tell the world how lovely this story is! I hope you're doing well and having fun during these holidays.
Yours,
M.

P.S. I know your update often but PLEASE UPDATE
Can't wait to read more!
