Tanya was concerned about her companies sliding into illegal activities, but Cold Iron is getting much worse now that she's out of it. The activities in Angola are caused by the US, Albish & Imperial representatives who _bought_ her stock when she sold out.

In short, the closer she was associated with a company (like when she was starting it up) the more it toed the line on illegal activity.
Sprengkamp chapter 34 . 4/27/2020
Th for the chapter.
A good Idea to bring trowel to the Turkman in the form of Rebilon so that Tanya can show her mettel in a surprising the revolutions or she could stag a coup to bring the General at the top.
As you have named the Empire as Prussiar Empire, a tip from me would, should you go a bit in the past worldbulding to have a Empress of Austria Hugery marry a Prussian King so can you have the Great German Empire as it is in the Canon Story.

Methinks lack of oversight is going to come back to bite Tanya in the ass.
AlphariusMagyar chapter 33 . 4/22/2020
Wonderful story!
Enigmatic47 chapter 18 . 4/15/2020
I've been loving all of the story so far, but this chapter was just brilliant: representing how the Americans, Germanians, Columbians, and Tanya all came to such radically different but yet largely reasonable conclusions based on their differing information and assumptions was hilarious.

Equally hilarious, enough to have me cackling out loud, was your having Viktoriya and the other ex-203rd Stillwater mages accidentally kick off the stock market crash and the wildly misreported version of events printed in the U.S.

And then, after all that, to have Mary Sioux's admittedly smart infiltration plan apparently foiled by being transferred where she wants to go only to narrowly miss Tanya or any relevant events. Truly you're setting up a wonderful trail of breadcrumbs for Interpol to follow and yet never quite catch up lol.

Thankfully, I still have many more chapters to read to catch up. Thanks for sharing your writing and hope you're doing well during the virus outbreak.

P.S. Don't think I didn't notice that the Charles Norris who K.O.'d his first mage kill could easily go by Chuck Norris. Hmmmm I'm sure that wasn't intentional (not).
andrewjoelson chapter 1 . 4/13/2020
I cannot help thinking that re-using the Jennifer Ecks ID is a big mistake, Lergen immediately assumed it was Tanya before leaving the Congo. While it is certainly true that gathering up all ex-203rd Aerial Mages in one spot is a big tip-off anyway, if Tanya isn't waving around a big red flag, then Visha could make a go of it saying, "Hey, highly talented Mages here, that know and trust one another... why shouldn't we get together and form a mercenary company?"

As to Jennifer Ecks Jennifer X, but of course! She is mocking Being X.
titan616 chapter 33 . 4/10/2020
It occurs to me that Tanya... was wasted as a humble salaryman. Then again the HR office is a good place for people who are lawful evil to work. Not that Tanya has been all that lawful lately, she's been doing the whole "Where is the world is Tanya Von Degurechaff" thing. Keep at it Mary, I seem to remember those video games as being monstrously long. But Mary has been shockingly entertaining, and it's also been hilarious watching Tanya accidentally setting up a worldwide criminal syndicate, not to mention kick off the Great Depression and send the world's most powerful nations scrambling in confusion and chaos. And it look's like Tanya taught Visha a little to well, the two of them continue to be as fun to watch as always.

Tanya has found shelter for now, but I can't help but wonder is such a religious nation is really a good place for her to put down roots in the long run. Then again who knows, at least for the time being she's located near all of the action in Europe, and at a time when Schugel seems to becoming a real threat as well. I'm looking forward to that conflict. Being X is meddling again that's for sure.
Engatai chapter 33 . 4/3/2020
I like how you used Sabiha Gokcen (one of the first Turkish female pilots). It shows detication to your story since you research for interesting facts. I respect that for whatever that worths.
