I can easily accept that this is the end of this story. It might be cliche, but it's usually true that the end to something is the beginning of something else. I don't think that there are many authors who have conceived a fully cognizant Bella who voluntarily leaves the Cullens and Edward to build a life for herself (even if she ultimately rejoins them, which makes sense to me). That would make a great story! Having said that, I would like to know how you intended to end this one.

Thank you for this long and excellent work. Great twists on the canon story! I loved your Emmett here. He is so often portrayed as stupid and oafish, and I think he was not, at all. I strongly agree with your position regarding the neglected mental health issues in the original books, and the lack of consequences to Edward for his idiocy.

I could go on . . . but I am wondering if you even see these reviews anymore. If so, please know that I don't (anymore) discover authors here who have such a talent for writing about people and relationships. It is a pleasure to have found your stories!

Girl, you made my heart bleed by just this one chapter.
You mastered all of their emotions in such a way *shakes head* it's been a long time since I felt such angst and in these pandemic times ... wow ... it's depleted me of all my energy, my strength.
I can't wait to read the next chapters and learn how B goes through in this new chapter of her life.

What a great story so far! I love all the detailed characterization. I can’t wait for you next update! Fingers crossed that it is soon!

Oh wow, this story honestly took my breath away. I read all 20 chapters in about 2 days and I am ready for more! This chapter broke my heart but your writing is so beautiful. The scene where Edward and Bella say goodbye reminds me of the quote from Romeo and Juliet, "Parting is such sweet sorrow." I know the context of that is different but it immediately popped into my brain. You write Bella's pain with such care and diligence and it's so good. I always feel like I hit the lottery when I come across authors like you.

Two lines from this chapter really stuck out to me, the first was "But this was it, she knew-the end and the beginning- and she could not bear to let him go again without the memory of that touch."
That hit me like a ton of bricks, all the emotion is palpable and I was waiting for a good Bella/Edward moment the whole time and you delivered. It was also so ominous because I don't want her journey with Edward to end!

The other one was "It was like coming home, the way those arms enfolded her." I screamed, I want them to push past all the bad stuff and be together and when you described Edward as her home, I was floored. I want them to come home to each other sooo badly!

This has been beautifully done and I can't wait for more!
