I think it's more that in a world with lots of mana and magic, the equivalent of the will of Gaia, isn't actually opposed to magic the way it is in Fate, which also mean it can be absorbed with less damage, as in a world where magic is something the world/the gods desire or at least don't mind, the mana isn't actively fighting the conversion into Odd, you can still take damage from using too much, but it's not actively trying to fight you when you take it in.

Noble Phantasms have a much harder time existing in the modern age than they did in the past, because the will of Gaia has become more hostile to magic, back in the age of heroes and even more in the age of gods, the will of Gaia didn't put the same effort into squashing magic, so projecting would be cheaper then, and recovering Odd would be easier, as the will of Gaia is less opposed to magic and Maguses.

This fic manages to actually maintain Shirou’s abilities without Gary-Stu-ing him.
The concept is pretty simple so should be some hope.
Might as well be screaming into the void if the Author truly lost access to his account… which seems bizarre to me. It’s been a while since I last remembered my own password, though, so maybe the supposedly switching desktops really was that catastrophic?
I get the feeling they just wanted to leave everything behind too. The shipping war probably got pretty terrible close to the end.
I hope this post actually has a point and not just end up as a scream into the abyss.

I think it’s because the age of magic is different

I always think like tulpa, the more people who believe something the stronger it is. So for magic the entire system changes from “everyone takes from the whole for smaller pieces consecutively” to “here is Halloween candy”. I think the reason so many people have his magic stronger is explained with things like “it costs less mana because Gaia doesn’t resist it.” Which is kinda true, in a world like most isekai Gaia doesn’t resist the magic and people use it more freely, not the abundance of mana in the air which I think only affects things like stamina, speed in casting and similar. The comparison I sometimes see is magus being a heavy calculation/ more researched thing compared to most magic systems.

Personally I think I’m a mana rich environment their spells if it is that heavily efficient would be stronger off the basis they are made to be more efficient in a lower prana world. Like sticking your thumb over the end of a garden hose. Noticed? Yes, god level? Unless you already were at the level in which you can fight near it at least hell no

Shirou, most likely, would not be able to fight any servant without possibly killing himself. Before anyone angry comments on my thought experiment response, hear me out here. Shirou gets a minor power boost on efficiency. The opposing servant doesn’t have to rely on their master any more, would be able to possible use their noble phantasm more, has the stat advantage on Shirou in everything but versatility, and even if Shirou knows how they fight except bare handed it doesn’t stop the servant with the strength of a magical wmd from killing him in seconds

Shirou I think in overall would have C stats max across the board because of human limitation and I’m overestimating him here in realism. With a power up like flames yes I can see him at the stats this Shirou has, especially with rings as force multipliers that he can conceivably trace and use/ break like anything if he forged a sword broke it and uses that for the rings. Or other magic systems and power systems from media. Do I think he can even conceivably one shot Heracles? Nope, maybe a stall and run if done right or with actual development FOR that stall strat but no way would he win.

So that’s my argument, I guess? I do think I’m a more mana enriched environment the meticulous magic system of fate would go in a power boost if they keep it up, maybe even a significant one. But to make him god tier? Nope.

*GROAN* I hate that misconception about David and Goliath… Slings were a devastating tool of warfare and hunting that could easily kill at thrice again the range that David had on Goliath. Goliath was expecting a close quarters brawl and was basically shot in the head by someone far weaker than him because he wasn’t expecting it. David was also a sheep herder, so would have LOTS of experience aiming from warding off WOLVES! The miracles that day were finding the perfect stones, being in the right place, and Goliath neglecting his helmet because he thought his head was too high up to be hit!

Honestly, with the way you set it up, either having Gokudera brake out of Nono's influence and become a better person, or play the Unknowing Spy card straight and have him leave the story permanently (one way or the other), could play out nicely.

Personally, I believe the philosophy of 'Mercy is the privilege of the Strong', at least when it comes to conflicts in fiction.
Only someone stronger than the opposition can effort to goal back from killing blows, while still ensuring the success of the fight without taking serious injuries.
Therefore, Kiritsugu being able to just casually cripple the Vongola top brass is even more of a Chad move than slaughtering them would be.

I'm not sure if giving the characters so many A rank states is wise. High rank servants are pure BS, and as strong as endgame Tsuna is, I can't see him fighting on the level of the first Saber Vs Berserker battle.
Except Mana. That state is the of duck out, which humans can actually get reasonable tier at. And possibly luck, too (although I think for servants it means something MORE than it would for mortals.)
