Okay now I imagine rataphina thinking she's getting her own harem, holding shirou's hand and being held by naofumi. Kinda funny since naofumi/shirou usually get the harems.
Now, I'm truly curious if we will see the mine scene. That main significance was to show naofumi develop some skills (air strike shield) and rataphina's development into a warrior, but I doubt we need it now so we could just skip to slight pre wave or something.
Now, naofumi has alluded to facing extra monsters, and i wonder if shirou is attracting them with his reality marble. This was a neat detail in another fic, wandering of the sword hero, so I wonder if you'll incorporate that to give enhanced leveling to the party.

Is this version of shirou from before or after the grail war? There are some conflicting information in your first chapter about that. As an example you say that shirou only started reinforcement 2 years ago hinting a pre-war shirou but also you tell that shirou already has mastered projection and structural analysis which he only mastered to some degree after the UBW holy grail war. If i remember right shirou wasnt even capable of projection besides knowing the concept of it until he tried to imitate archer. Also PreWarShirous knowledge about magi should be close to none existent. He only learned about the nature of magi from rin tohsaka during the holy grail war.

Your writing is fairly good and I'm interested in your premise but might I suggest not going with the same events as in canon.

Say we're dealing with Raphtalia and her fear of blood. Maybe have her perform the kill in different circumstances or something. Or explore Raphtalia, Naofumi and Shirou's relationship a bit differently so no buying the ball or making the kids runaway or a haircut but some other kindness or cruelty.

sure it's small things but it's better than rehashing canon.

Shirou as a side character?

It's interesting and different then other. I want more.

An interesting premise, diferent from the usual 'Shirou is summoned as the sword hero' plus some(or a lot) of wanking throw between.

But i think it would do some good to the fic if you breath a little more of life into it. Add some more details to the story, some background about Melromac, scenery, some more detailed interactions, internal monologues, and all that.

Fics that only focus in going from the point A to point B tend to be pretty bland and i feel some of that here due how... choppy it feels the transition from one scene to another without the proper description to connect the two scenes and due it lack a proper presentation about the Shield Hero and the whole thing about the rest of the Heroes, the same somewhat with Shirou.

Or maybe you will do so later...
