So, Harry never cast it at Bellatrix in the Ministry after losing Sirius? Why not? Not that I support his decision, I can just understand why he did it then. This is definitely turning into an interesting tale, and one I can easily see as turning into a Drarry fic.

i'm not to sure about the sign either but i know they have it in the u.s. and it's normally set out in the mountainous regions during snow season,i'll do some research and see if the u.k. has that sign.

For any other fandom this story has a hell of a lot of reviews but for Harry Potter it's about average which is sad because this is excellent and I think it should have more. I feel like I've read this story a hundred times but it's probably more like five or six and this is the first time I've reviewed it. I'm sorry for that but I'm only just coming out of my stalker like ways and actually commenting on thing I like. This story is lovely and it feels so real, despite all the wonderfully magic happenings. Your characterisations are marvellous they feel more real to me than the cannon ones actually, I love JK's work but in the later books they just feel so fictitious and two dimensional (a sign I'm growing up I guess). Here however, I feel like I could reach out and touch them interact with them which is the sign of a brilliant fantasy writer, or so I'm told, to be able to make your characters so believable that the reader feels empathy despite the surroundings being so different. And oh, what surroundings you've made the castle come alive in a way I thought only Rowling could. you truly are an amazing writer.

Excellent! I was actually kindof convinced that this wouldn't be slash for quite a while, and was thinking 'wow this is the first Harry/Draco friendship fic I've ever read that didn't turn out they were dating,' but no, haha. I do love reading pre-OotP stories, though I didn't realize this was at first until I got to "Dominique Lestrange" and did a double take. Also, I found your take on portkeys to be very interesting. In fact, in general, I really liked your take on the Dark Arts and magic. I found it to be quite canon. Also, good job making a Snape who wasn't totally petty but was still pretty in-character (cause damn I hate Snape, but going off of what we knew at that point, your interpretation seems fitting.) All in all, lovely story, I quite enjoyed reading it.

fantastic, great job! i finished reading your other story, blood magic, on the other side, fictionalley? i think? and i loved that one too. i also like how you dont have a definate ending, you leave it open for our own imagination... until the sequel comes up of course! ;) normally im not a slash fan nor a father son severus harry fan, but i have to say, draco and harry work well together,and your portrayal of harry and snape together worked for me! loving it, keep up the good work!

I know this is a rather old story, but I just discovered it. I am at chapter 4 (not sure you can see that from my comment or not). I would just like to say it is AMAZING. Very well written. Not dripping with sentimentality. The characters are real, believable. They act and talk appropriate for their age (it's a total turn-off when in some stories the 11 year old HP talks like an adult with a university education...). Thanks so much for writing it (many, many years ago).

Great story! I loved how you progressed Harry and Draco's relationship. It was all very believable. I thought your writing was pretty good too, there were a few errors here and there, but nothing problematic. The ending wasn't what I was expecting. I guess the whole conflict of their relationship was mostly solved, but there were a few others that were not solved that left me wanting more.

I did enjoy this story... I was a bit sad I didn't get a Drarry kiss until Chapter 41 though...
