I was thinking about this story as I was watching The Rise of Skywalker last night. If Ben and Rey are truly a dyad in the Force, two-who-are-one, then it makes no sense to kill one of them off at the end of the movie. Which only affirms how much I enjoyed reading your re-imagined ending. Thank you for writing it. I look forward to the epilogue(s).
