I think you underestimate just how chaotic the battle of coruscant actually was, a ridiculously huge stream of ships were constantly pouring out of hyperspace nonstop for both sides. The Jedi who were on planet had their focus split between the ground and the conflict in space, which had led to Grevious being able to do a smash and grab on Palpatine. When Anakin and Obi Wan arrived the battle was still in full swing, where again the rest of the Jedi who were in system were all spread across the many fronts of the battle. It had to be them because not only were they essentially “Fresh” they were also the most free to act directly in reaching the Chancellor.

I may be very late for this, but congratulations. Not many people can finish a story. Most just keep adding things and drag them out before burning out.

I honestly doubt the order would've fallen as far as it did in the movies and show if Yoda didn't stay as the grandmaster. nobody should be grandmaster for more than 100 years. you need new blood in there for new ideas
