I agree that the way the Snape/Lily break is written makes her seem incredibly shallow to let the friendship end over a single insult. I tend to view it more as the straw that broke the camel's back. There's no way Lily wasn't getting insults and threats from the blood purists in Slytherin the whole time she was a student. It's also pretty clear those same students were trying to recruit Snape, and the abuse of the Marauders couldn't have helped there. If you look at the situation from that perspective, it becomes Lily's first magical friend gradually getting further and further away from her, falling in with the very people who insult and threaten her. She has friends or acquaintances who are losing loved ones to that same movement, and then finally that friend throws the same insults at her? That situation I can see breaking the friendship.

Harry tolerates too much physical abuse from Hermione. Slapping a friend because you're upset is not acceptable, especially when that friend came from an abusive home. Wtf, Hermione?

I would be pissed at Hermione. She wanted answers Harry thought personal enough, or secret enough that he didn't want to discuss them over the phone. So she invites a bunch of people Harry isn't as close to so they can all grill him on the sordid details of his tragic backstory? I'd be absolutely furious.

I still think the time turner was just a plot device and Dumbledore specifically changed the time tables.
In JKR's work Percy's took 12 OWLs and it wouldve been even more brag worthy if he did several subjects without following the classes on them.'Nowhere was this mentioned.
