DragonTetho's idea about powered armor is interesting - what comes to mind for me here would be the K-series seen in Bubblegum Crisis or the suits used by the Mobile Infantry in the OAV adaption of 'Starship Troopers' (released in 1988 by Studio Sunrise; mechanical design by Miyatake Kazutaka and Izubuchi Yutaka; a Google image search for 'Starship Troopers power armor manga' will bear fruit) - but may be beyond the purview of this Jaune's capabilities to make; unlike his counterpart in 'Arclight Foundries'. That concern also applies to the Crysis nanosuits, and less so to the exoskeletal rigs seen in CoD: Advanced Warfare.

lordzoabar's comment about grimm containment is worthy of some chuckles, and I would be unsurprised to discover that some enterprising writer has taken a stab at this...

Have to agree with Delekmaster - those bits of characterization are a good thing, given how easy it is to write off the professor and the doctor as one-note characters.

And I see SentinalSlice also had the brainwave about Jaune cutting off the CCT-related shenanigans at the pass; (s)he and Zatho also raise the idea that the folks who spawn AI based on his work with HighThought haven't considered what happens if a technopath gets involved - understandable, as they seem unaware that technopathy _exists_. That said, I imagine that Dr. Polendina has taken very seriously the prospect of more mundane cyberintrusion, hence Penny coming with a formidable suite of ICE (Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics; look up Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2020 for some examples); and Watts would avoid the mistake of making his AI capable of self-propagation.

Lastly, it will be quite interesting to see how canon events change as a result of Cinder succeeding the first time around aside from Pyrrha not being guilted into a fight she can't win. Interestingly, I did run across a story wherein she survived (but she and Jaune are resentful of Ozpin and company for that), and another where the attempt to give her the Fall Maiden powers failed in such a way as to result in Amber walking around Remnant in a Pyrrha suit.

Just found this and I love it. I do hope Jaune shows the Grimmdex (Grimm Pokédex) he made to Port and Ozpin.
I really like how you’ve altered this story, Cinder successfully becoming the Fall Maiden first try really will shake things up. And that could also lead to the fall of Beacon not even happening. Although it would be funny to see her try to control the CTC and then get shut down by Jaune.
By the way, did Jaune leave some data behind, are parts of him/his semblance being used to create AI, or are AI being modeled after him? If AI are being created from his semblance then he would probably be able to just hijack them and take control, maybe.

Can I say, I absolutely love those subtle details you put into your story but flesh out the characters so much more. The main ones for me have to be with Oobleck and Port. I love that small things, like Port being ready to kill the grimm incase Weiss can't do it, and Oobleck slowing down his words as he gets more serious. Things like that.

Okay so butterfly effects.

Fall has already... fallen, so Pyrrha won’t be wrapped in the conspiracy, and thus won’t be guilted by her own conscious into fighting.

Salem will have the ability to use an AI with human-like intelligence. Hopefully Arthur Watts doesn’t make it capable of creating its own AIs.

I’m highly surprised no one else has said it yet but... If Jaune doesn’t make some sort of containment device that you can throw at a grim, and it shrinks them down to an easily carry-able size AND takes them so you can do battle with them... I am going to be most upset.

Nice to see this updated. Sorry to hear you being sick, tough time to be sick these days. I probably would have sptted the reference to Silver if it hasn't been so long since i read it. It is a good story but updates are increasingly sparse.

Of course the enemy has a nephew that is naive and spilling governmental secrets to his 'good' uncle who is in fact an evil egotistical A-Hole. Ah well least whatever they plan to use I feel Jaune's power will be something they won't expect as it is turned against them.

Shame about the fall maiden. though interesting in that it was a recent thing. Do look forward to seeing the results of what Jaune created. I got the base idea of it but not how it would be used as of yet.

Finally! It's great to see this fic getting updated as it is one of the unique fanfics out there with Jaune being more onto a Techno-path route(which is awesome) and here's to me hoping that he could build his own Power Armor/Suit in the near future with the help of his Semblance on making an A.I of his own to battle the A.I that Salem's side are creating. Also, it'll be great if Penny was added in Jaune pairing since you know it kinda suits with the premise of the fanfic lol.
