The Lancaster here is just sweet and cute!

God thanks to this chapter I already want to see them together together.

However here my favorite character in this interlude is Yang, I like the overprotective Yang but she gets a bit boring over time. Seeing a Yang more open to the idea that her sister is in a relationship is pleasant, because as she says she will not always be by Ruby's side.

Seeing her accept Jaune as part of the family is something sweet, we already have Qrow who also accepts the boy in addition to having him as her ward. Only Taiyang is missing.

Jaune and Ruby are really going to get cavities, they're too sweet together.

I feel like what happened to Penny should have been mentioned at least in passing. I guess you’re going for limited third person but then Jaune would definitely note that Penny left before the police arrived or she got escorted by military or something.

This is a fun little story
