Great chapter! I felt it really captured the feel of the first few RWBY seasons. I loved the way you described the fight, especially Sun using his Nunchaku. I love how Jaune contributed to Penny fighting. It makes him seem more useful and Penny seem less perfect and more alive.

I could only ever wonder if they did capture him instead of Ironwood and see if they could actually get him to spill. I mean he wouldn't in the face of Atlas but that was further along in the plans and he knew the vale was screwed but not he is not in a good position and i bet Cinder would be furious.

I think the battles were decent enough in description, there are many actions that are difficult to translate without going overboard or under to get it just right. Besides in the series there are a lot of scenes that give the middle finger to logic and physics to begin with. Example being those shotgun nunchucks. There is no one alive who can explain the practicality with a straight face of how to shoot those things while spinning them against a target without them being knocked away and shooting yourself in the face.

Sure the fight with him versus Roman is pretty neat but realistically it's an impractical and stupid weapon design. If i had to give it any redesign i would think it better to have the bo staff with the ability to shoot and not the nunchucks. Least then it would be able to shoot at certain motions before closing in or pushing away. Even using the recoil or shot itself like ruby does with her scythe to launch herself. Least the way I see it.

Think the change for Blake is good though. Her weapon is also iffy in my opinion. I just find it to easily to disrupt if i think about it logically and her swings with the ribbon would be to slow realistically and the needed force to make it useful would require wide swings that isn't much of an option in close range and is easy to see coming unless your distracted.

So the team caught Roman and the fang with their pants down and taken into custody. Does this mean they will get a reward for this score?

Here's an adorable idea: Penny and Jaune, in the middle of the night, are just sending packets of information to each other at a rapid speed, or they commandeer a server in order to have it host a chat log.

Interesting, we have a Sun who calls Blake on some of her shit. Poor Weiss though, her explanation for her friends and family being kidnapped and murdered being dismissed is bad enough, to say nothing of *who* did it.

Nora is probs gonna be feeling a little guilty when/if she realizes that Blake never really suffered in her life except by her own shitty decisions and lack of trust.

Oh well, Weiss will still grow regardless. If in canon she can throw her life in risk to save Velvet, a faunus, her hatred must really only extend to the literal terrorists, not all faunus. Eventually, others will realize that.
