Wait wait wait... You're telling that Kylo Ren is stronger in the force, even potentially, than Luke Fucking Skywalker!? Seriously!?

I can think of three explanations for the First Order not knowing Finn was force sensitive that don’t create a problem with the Disney movies, first, since you’re going with legends characters you should recall that Luke didn’t find his students with a simple blood test because legends were largely established before the midiclorians were a thing (no matter what George Lucas might have said after he did Episode 1 they weren’t a thing before that). To work with movie canon and legends you basically have to accept that somehow the knowledge of midiclorians was lost or hidden, most likely by Palpatine, so the First Order may have the ability to scan for force sensitivity, but they probably don’t. The second explanation I came up with is that the First Order just weren’t looking for force sensitives, which at first seems short sighted since one Jedi or Sith, or even just one person with some force training, could become a valuable asset, but they could also become a liability if they went too far to the dark and thought they should rule or too far to the light and somehow broke their conditioning like Finn did.

The third explanation I came up with is more based off the card game that I’m not sure even still exists, but one of the playable options in the game was you could put any character through Jedi training and they could potentially rise all the way to Jedi Master. Obviously the cards to do this were meant to be used with Luke, but in the game the success or failure of the training was, I think (it’s been a long time), based on the role of a dice. Game mechanics aside, my third thought was that force sensitivity can be trained and Finn’s midiclorian count is below the point where he’d normally be trained, but that he received a kind of trining by proxy by just doing what he does during the movies and being close to Rey, who by some weird mechanics Disney thought up was able to just use the force whenever the story said she could even without any previous training. After all, we’re expected to believe she can use force lightning just because she’s a Palpatine even though I can’t remember her even knowing that was a thing before she used it, so Finn training up his limited force sensitivity without even knowing he was doing it kind of fits.

First movie Hux to the slapstick version in 2 and 3 was always an odd direction. Having him as a proper threat is always good to see.
Giving Poe and co a slapdown seems appropriate when they have only succeeded by luck and plot armour. Now that they are training and guidance they might live up to the legends they started on themselves in destroying SK base.

So problem, while no definite lifespan is given for duros using cad bane as a reference it's implied that duros only live slightly longer then humans so maybe 125 years at a stretch. Gar stazi was a senior military officer in the cade Skywalker comics so he was at least middle aged for his species possibly even a senior citizen but considering his combat abilities he was most likely about the age bane was in clone wars 50-60ish and since the cade Skywalker comics are 150bby that means at the earliest gar stazi won't be born for another 50 or so years at the earliest and another 100 at the latest. Unless this isn't the gar stazi from the comics and just a version inspired by the comics version for use in your story anyways

Individually Ben and rey are both weaker than Luke. They are close to Legends lukes raw power but still less than him. It's only when the 2 work together light and dark working in tandem that them being a force dyad comes into effect and gives them more raw power than legends luke

This story is easily becoming one of my favorite fanfics of all time. I wonder how Mara will take it when they discover that Sidious did indeed come back to life like he did in their home universe. And I can’t wait for when EU Luke confronts the Movie Luke.

Buen capítulo el incluir las partes políticas fue un buen detalle, me gustó el mini momento que Luke y Mara pudieron tener y el como escribes a Finn en las películas era evidente que tenía miedo y no quería ser parte de la pelea después de starkiler la resistencia y sus amigos técnicamente lo obligaron a pelear por su causa en ese punto no veía mucha diferencia entre ellos y la primera orden.
El darle una dura lección a Poe sobre su impulsividad e inmadurez con una representación de su escena en el episodio 8 y formar un vínculo mas fuerte con Rey de lo que vimos en la pantalla fue excelente siempre pensé que la amistad de ellos dos podía ser algo como Han y Lando, Rex y Cody o Padme y Satín.
Aún estoy ansioso de leer el encuentro de amos Skaywaker y Mara tantas posibilidades de como sería esa interacción, me divierte tanto las partes donde los 2 Arto y Tripio XD

Oh man...yeah, I've definitely had issues with Poe. But you have struck that balance for me, with the tempering from 'defeat' present without going too far.

Will admit I TOTALLY forgot that 'First Order' Pilot was even here. OOPS! But do appreciate the avenues this opens up for Finn and how you write him. And gotta love Cara being along for the ride!

Oh yeah...necessary conversations with Leia and Jacen are necessary! I for one would be PERFECTLY happy with a whole fic dedicated to this sort of political talk in Star Wars! Then again...I'm someone who got the 'Galactic Empire' history book they got an ACTUAL WWI Historian to write...so yeah.

And oh man...ending on that Yavin 4 note...how ominous! Still gotta point out the silver lining of giving the opportunity to write more meaningful Rey and Poe interaction.
