Jasper is an empath that feels emotions, so why would he join the Confederacy that started because the didn't like the fact that the North was upset because they owned slaves after reading the book, Uncle Tom's Cabin? I have read the Quileute Creation Orgin legend multiple times, too bad you didn't find a way to use it. I found SMeyer 's version in Eclipse highly offensive and I'm not Quileute. Reading about how Mormons in the past had a racial bias against Native Americans makes me wonder if she has a racial bias against them. Heck, Taha Aki's third wife saved the tribe and she's called the third wife, I don't believe it's because they forgot her name over time. I believe she didn't find her worthy of a name beyond the third wife. Great writing! I loved it, despite not being able to use the Creation Orgin legend! Thank you!
