I still say that someone should have recognized the need for a secret student meeting room to have emergency exits that said students could get used to using to return to each one' s dormitories without exiting the main door. That way no one would be seen in the corridors.
No on in fan fic seems to have ever thought of that addition to the RoR; and I wish they would!

Why does Harry clean his glasses in this chapter (and an earlier one) when James fixed his eyes?

i know this is abandoned, but what a shame.

there is an issue with continuity. very good storyline, but I thought when James and Sirius were introduced to the student populace, it was Fred and George who introduced them as the Marauders. why then are they now surprised that the elderly two are Prongs and Padfoot?

This chapter just displayed for all to see the the double talk, double standard, &double dealing surrounding Fudge and his ilk. I mean his , Umbridge's, and Malfoy Sr.'s case against Harry was plain ridiculous! Between one and the next he practically admitted he didn't believe Harry could cast a powerful enough Patronus charm, then in the next he said it was powerful enough to be seen by "muggles" miles away from Grimmauld Place. Really?! The Fudge Triplets were trying to have that two ways! They don't know anything about "muggles"! Nonmagicals when they do notice brighter than average light on the horizon, they're more likely to attribute the source to city lights, traffic, or in the rare case of certain individuals: UFO's, not a wizard or witch of any age!
This was just some of my rantings about Fudge & Co., who don't like being corrected when they clearly have wrong information! Boyo! They must've been a joy to teach when they were in Hogwarts!

Maybe Missy the Potter house elf is the power Tom Riddle knows not. Can't we please sic Missy on the Dark One and his followers? One session with her apiece should have them begging for not just Azkaban, but clamoring to go through the veil!

This is a fantastic story. The best Harrys-parents-somehow-survive-Voldemorts-attack story I've read so far since it doesn't fall back on the WBWL or "Harry sucks, let's abandon him" tropes. I hope you update soon, and happy holidays!
