Reviews for Spells in Silence |
---|
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, also, The Silent World Of Cassandra Evans by DylantheRabbit also has a female Harry who can't speak. It's a really good read! |
![]() ![]() ![]() The smoke coming from her mouth and wrapping around her making her unnoticeable is really cool! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, star wars and D&D? Maybe? Interesting! |
![]() ![]() ![]() From the description, I guess Hazel became a fox? Heh, that's McG that will be astonished if she discover it x) I wonder... Would the Animagus transformation, with all the weird steps that do not really require a wand, be a remnant of druid magic? |
![]() ![]() ![]() I have this thought since a good while, but Hazel's star knife seems to affect physical matter, but also and more importantly what's not physical like spirits. So it's not much of a stretch to think it actually directly affects (maybe dissipate?) magic at it's impact point. If she could expand this effect in a form like a thin veil, she'd get a mighty useful barrier against spells and all things magic. And if she could turn in... what, maybe something like a mist or something? She could also obtain the counte-magic effects she wanted for so long. The fact that it could apply to her or a whole zone would be an added bonus. Well, I ranted enough about what I imagined, I need to read the 48th and last chapter you wrote so far! :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() *sigh* Snape's being an *ss as usual, sadly. And we have yet to see the crooked nose of Dumbledore anywhere close. Truly, for now all teachers except Flitwick are hopeless (yeah even Sprout, even if far less than McGonagall or Snape). And Filch is still surprisingly kind so far, which is really rare in any story so it needs to be highlighted. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Flitwick's PoV was really interesting, particularly his exterior view and surprise at how Hazel just seem to take different concepts (to him and wizardkind), associate them and create a new way to use it wandlessly. It is kind of sad that one of the most useful and informative characters other than Hazel is 'Marvolo'... When the shoe drops later on... Well, we'll see at that time I guess. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really hope you include later on the thoughts of Snape about just what Hazel is writing in her assignments x) If he was actually doubtful of some of them, tried it out and found out it was true it would be even more satisfying! |
![]() ![]() A recent update! Oh thank you. I hope you'll get an inspiration back! I'm curious what are the other firsties doing. We got a glimpse of Draco and Hermione but what about Ron? I was hoping she'll be friends with Hermione but with how rule abiding Hermione is, she'll clash with the free spirited Hazel. I hope she and Luna can be friends in the future. |
![]() ![]() Gotta say I'm gonna miss her pre Hogwarts adventure. You did such an amazing job in worldbuilding. I always compalin that some authors build the background so much it doesn't feel like the harry Potter world any more. You did a great job in expanding it and making it interesting that I'm having fun all through out |
![]() ![]() ![]() This chapter was amazing! If I could just punt McGonagall in the nose to make it similar to Dumble's own, truly I'd do it. It's not often that a McG in a story rub me the wrong way (usually it's because she a Dumble supporter when it's an evil Dumble story) but really this one's deserve it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Love this story and love Hazel! I can't wait to see what happens next. What was going on with that last bit though? Very concerning. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This story is great so far! |
![]() ![]() ![]() She also knows fables and British mythology as well as she knows math. Brilliant story |
![]() ![]() ![]() ahh through the looking glass and there is a reason mirrors were considered a portal; and wow I am behind FF lack of emails and acting weird love the story thanks |
