knowing what’s coming based off canon events still didn’t prepare me, dumbledore and snape are such dynamic characters, the way /it/ happens still gives me chills when i think back to halfblood prince and you managed to recreate that same sense of panic and fear and disbelief i felt here so well again that i really am shaking
just the literal timing of the betrayal and secret keepers passing and dolohov’s call and their safe place being a free for all and dumbledore THE PANIC THE PAIN
hermione bringing the malfoys to her own home is such and OOMPH moment a reversal of what happens in the books almost

Wow, this is an excellent fic, and you did an outstanding job of creating sympathy for Draco without changing his character one bit. Too many less experienced or less talented writers tend to portray him as really a nice guy who has to be mean because of his father. I've always felt that if you really love Draco, you should be able to accept him and all his imperfections, and you've shown us that it's possible to do so while still making the reader feel compassion for him and the choices he's forced to make. Love this already, and I look forward to updates.

I love the way you portray Draco, some writers tend to make him a fluffy bunny (completely OOC) but you really capture the entirety of Draco 'my father will hear about this' Malfoy! love from ohmerlinsbeard xxx
