![]() ![]() Can’t wait to see how the Tyrells respond to Joffrey’s death, and thus Margaery losing her Queenship. I wonder if Arthas’ betrothal to Sansa will fall apart, thus forcing Arthas to marry Margaery. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I dont know why but in the end i imagine arthas like uther but change " it was my student "for "it was my brother". |

![]() ![]() ![]() An karanir Thanagor, mor ok angalor. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Unless Arthas kills the peasant he protected, news will spread. The Tyrells won't take this without a fight, and Stark will side against Arthas because of his kinslaying if not kingslaying. The wisest action to take would be to crown Tommen, have him bind the Tyrells and continue as he planed against the undead. |
![]() ![]() Holy shit. I am so glad to see this update. The ending. The ending! I had literal chills running down my spine when reading from the mention of Bran Stark and until the end. Undoubtedly the best writing in this story so far. You created a new standard for your writing now. We KNEW Joffrey and Ramsay where behind the 'bandit' attacks, but actually seeing it, and Arthas react to it, is something completely different. The first time Arthas became a king- and kinslayer it was the end of journey signifying that he had truly become a remorseless monster, here it too is the end off a journey where he chooses to damn his own soul for the sake of the people, the kingdoms and life itself. This will of course have consequences. Obviously no-one will suspect Arthas. And with the 'bandits' active in the forest there is already a perfectly reasonable explanation ready. The fact that Arthas will genuinely be utterly broken over this will only further cement it. So Margaery once again is twice widowed. Whether anyone will suggest a Tommen-Margaery match is another matter. Not that it matter too much I think. Arthas will be crowned King and Sansa will be Queen soon enough. I don't think there will be too many problems on the political side. The Tyrell's aren't in any position to demand a Arthas-Margaery match, which would create conflict with the North and Riverlands. Arthas has no interest to create conflict right now by demanding more concessions from the Reach. And most importantly Arthas is already the beloved Pious Prince. The smallfolk and most of the nobility already wished he where the king. Varys. The was no mention of him fleeing, I assume also that his Rugen disguise wasn't compromise by his actions here. The reason behind the whole thing is another matter. Why did he do it? Create conflict? Probably. Aegon (whether Targaryen or Blackfyre is irrelevant) is still waiting in Essos. With the war slowly winding down and the new status quo entrenching itself Varys must be very concerned that by the time Aegon is ready, Westeros will be too united and with too few attack point as for him to succeed. The Iron Islands are not going to an issue soon. With he exception of Dorne and those following Stannis the rest pf the kingdoms stand behind the Throne. There are tensions between the Reach and the other kingdoms and now with the Vale, but those will not last long if Arthas has any say about that. So Varys acted now to stoke the fires before they got snuffed out. Question is will he decide to fasten his timetable and have Aegon and the Golden Company now? Thanks for your good work. Until next time. |
