Let me just start this by saying that this is phenomenally written. The descriptions, the dialogues, the characters, the plot, they all feel real and thought-through, this doesn't feel like fanfiction, but a professionally written story.
I don't understand, nor do I feel for your Arthas, however. His strange naming aside, he's such a narcissistic little shit it's disgusting. His "twin" Joffrey is a psychopathic little monster who grew up torturing little animals. His father is a fool whose concept of ruling ended with fucking a whore and getting drunk. He defends these people at every opportunity, I just don't understand it. Why would he even feel anything for his "father"? He was a man grown when he died, it's understandable he's full of regrets, but why did he suddenly regress into a little child who gets all angry because his psychopath of a brother was slighted? I repeat, he was 30 something years old when died, it doesn't feel like it. His constant "I am not worthy" mantra is reminiscent of Jon Snow and is the polar opposite of Joffrey who is "the greatest King", but they are one and the same, two sides of the same coin completely focused on themselves to the detriment of everyone around them, he'll be a shitty king, this I agree with. Kings are supposed to rule, not live in their own heads. But his mistakes and his history are what should give him strength to stand for all this injustice he sees daily. You don't want the throne, fine, you shouldn't, but what kind of man defends a psychopath constantly? His character doesn't make any sense.

I was really enjoying this story up until this chapter, it had a different take on Joffrey and I really enjoyed it. But the moment you decided to kill off Robert the way that you did, everything became predictable. All that became of it was an alternate way of Robert's Rebellion that's slightly more complex. Its essentially a retake of Rhaegar Targaryen. Still somewhat enjoyed it though.

oh that change to the crypts scene was so organic, flowed really nice from the previous chapter's events

that was a really interesting start, got me hooked up :3 I love how Arthas is really trying here, how he does his best to find a possitive light on his family and such
