Of all the fanfics I've read, this 1 does the best at an accurate Hermione.
Never will understand how she's anyone's favorite character. Or why anyone would think she's good for HP.
Every sentence of hers in canon & good ff radiates her controlling, bossy, self reichous, everyone must tell me everything attitude.

I really like how Ginny rescued herself in this story. She’s way more badass than in the books! The thing about her wand is absolutely heartbreaking though…

I never even considered that Ginny might have some things in common with Sirius now…the way you portray her trauma feels so realistic

God, I felt that shower viscerally. Also I know they shouldn’t, but sometimes Tom’s notebooks make me laugh XD

I’m so pleased to see Neville actually blossoming doing homeschool. I was afraid his family was gonna stifle him or even arrange an “accident” because I’ve been reading too many dark fics

I like how Ginny’s disappearance is nudging Harry and Ron to grow up a little faster (Hermione was born a small adult I think lol)

Ginny homesteading in the chamber is giving me The Martian vibes. And I feel so bad for Neville…

Woah, we’re down to the last fight but still just at chapter 27 out of 40? Can’t wait to read ahead! And I do love the alternative horcrux hunt, but wish the Dumbledore dynamics was nicer. I don’t support all the shit he put Harry through, but I’m also not le for Dumbledore bashing as he had an incredibly tricky job balancing to keep Harry safe, happy and equip him for the fight. I think the books showed that Dumbledore too was just a human with his own shortcomings.

Love love love the story so far. But man, “Flea” is an even more unfortunate nickname than his full name. I hoped
people would've picked some other version, perhaps “Monty” or something similar. Can’t wait until Neville comes back on the scene!

This story is incredible, it will be in my regular reread rotation.

Why keep the angst up when a few weeks or even months might have been believable? This ended up in the “Harry has godlike powers” bs.

Well, that was a much better death than JKR's version. Her's let the delusional think he was a hero while passing on practically useless information as he died. This way he actually got to do something concrete to rid the world of "Moldy Shorts" while actually doing something for a living person he really cared about. If he had really cared about a living Lilly, he would not have taken the tattoo. You can love the memory of a deceased person, but after a bit of mourning the TRUELY remorseful person (if that is appropriate) will and should turn to a positive ACTION to honor the deceased. I will contend to my last breath that "holding a torch" for a deceased soul is a form of base evil which allows the holder of said torch to "feed my sheep" as Christ put it to Peter. Snape had countless opportunities to "feed" sheep right up to his last breath in cannon, and we have no evidence of him feeding (figuratively, of course) anyone after Lilly's death. Don't even mention his self-serving deal with Dumbledore.
