Love, love, love! It's been so long since I've read an Anne fic (or any fanfic at all) and yours are always wonderful. Can't wait to read more!

It is wonderful to have you back ;) Loving your story and can't wait for the next chapter!

I really like the premise. Not sure why Anne would have waisted all that time before seeing Gilbert though.

Great start. Hope there is a new chapter soon.

This is delicious and so original and realistic. Instead of melodramatically rushing to Gil's bedside Megan Follows-style, Anne seem to be unconsciously doing anything she can to actually put off seeing him. Sleeping, cleaning up, changing clothes... because she is petrified to be confronted with what she may or may not find there. It's an awesome beginning to the new story, can't wait to read more!

Hi Kwak,
How nice to see a story from you again!

A couple months ago I would’ve reacted more strongly to this surprise from you but these past 7 weeks have felt surreal; like I’m in a dream. I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.
Somehow, this makes everything seem a little normal again.

Fever Dreams has a different tone to it; I can’t explain why but I like it.
As always you find the perfect opening to your story, there is poignancy to the words, I simply love it. You do have a knack for knowing how to introduce a story.
The flow from LMM’s words to your own was seamless and I can see you are keeping your characters close to canon. I’m very intrigued by this story, I have to say.

If anyone else was going with the Typhoid storyline I might have avoided the story entirely but I know you can do it properly. I have a personal peeve about overly dramatic deathbed scenes in fanfic but I trust you with this, I really do. (Plus, the thought of this becoming an ‘M’ story is too tantalising.)

Gosh, I’ve had 2 reasons to be thankful today; on a beautiful spring day I cheered alongside staff as a military squadron did a flyover past the hospital in salute to frontline workers and then I came home and found an ‘M’ story from Kwak.
I don’t know which gave me more chills.

I’m looking forward to future chapters very much.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
DrinkThemIn chapter 3 . 4/28/2020
You tease! Actually, I much appreciate three consecutive chapters to devour. This is such an interesting take - her going to him when they haven’t reached an understanding. I love it!

Ugh. I am so excited for more. That’s one thing with this isolation - the new content is being churned out quickly (unless you’re me - I’m at a standstill). I cannot wait for 4 s as nd am squealing over the possibility of some classic kwak M.
FKAJ chapter 1 . 4/28/2020
Forgot to say - starting in the Ms so you don't censor yourself?! Oh yeah, baby! ;)
Formerly known as J chapter 3 . 4/28/2020
OK, so maybe it wasn't the Hammonds exactly, but the asylum that gave Anne the know-how to deal with typhoid? I'm still loving our heroine, scrubbing her hands and feet, stripping down and then donning 'one of John's favourites' - it made me wonder exactly what he's gonna think when he finally returns from his trip to help the doctor!?

Plus, it's totally scary to think how even trained nurses in those days sometimes had no idea how to treat some diseases, or even bother worrying about bathing a patient. Ohhhh, yeah, bathing Gilbert... and his feverish dreams at night. Mmmmm. Sorry, I just got a bit distracted. Even weak with the fever, that was hot! As hot as his room, I'd say. Ahem, where was I?

Oh, yes, Mrs Blythe's dress that's a little too small in the bodice for Anne. I'm thinking that will be giving Gilbert a right shock if he wakes up and sees her!

What a glorious and exciting start to this story, kwaks. I simply can't WAIT for the next chapter! Especially since you've given us so much to think about with these first 3. I am desperate to know where you're taking this! More, please!
