I'm curious why they couldn't be married now instead of waiting 3 years. It sounds like they're already engaged and had sex (?) so I hardly think they're going to be celibate all that 3 years. Catiegirl's catching moonlight went with them being married and I suppose at that time the college mindset is a strict one so I guess they would be caught pretty soon. So in the sequel it might be interesting to get them married. Personally I wouldn't be keen to read about Ronald or Roy hitting on Anne (again) and that annoying Christine has had enough page time. It seems pretty clear that nothing and no one would keep them apart.

But I would also be happy to let this story rest here. Because like you said, good ending should tie up loose ends and yet leave some scope for the imagination!

Love the ending! I had no desire for a sequel until you listed all of those questions... now I'm wondering just what happens next! But it was a great stopping point and wrapped up quite well.

I’ve just been reading this in bed, at 1 pm, and I think I woke up my entire household laughing like a hyena at the whole barn situation. Oh John... You will always be my favourite supporting character! Anne and Gil are just delicious and I love that they will go back to Redmond together, though I doubt they will manage to keep their hands away from each other for long, haha. Now, will he really walk her home now or are they bound to be woken again by Emma or John? Glorious, glorious story!
