Lovely update, however i disagree with the power requirements. The Asgard matter transformer has, basically two modes. From material A to material B, and from energy to matter. If saying that the creation of parts for their gun projects is power taxing, then that's directly against the episode where the Daedalus gets stuck in time. Carter produced a metric shiton of food and that's by the end, when Carter knew they'd consumed a lot of juice. She made a musical instrument, ...that's an item that has a level of complexity so advanced it actually surpasses a gun (if we're going by the metric that complexity is a factor, which we probably should). I mean, a gun is made out of bits and bobs, with probably 10~20% of it being electronics, electronics the Quarians could easily provide. The musical instrument needs to be done just right in all of its parts... otherwise it sounds like crap. And we know it doesn't because we hear it.

At the end of the day, they have the repository of Asgard knowledge and a great deal of Ancient too. Just make them make the Asgard power core. Three of those are a match to ZPM output.

Liked the little travel on the continent, Rola and Eli relationship seems to improving well. Hope the scientist will soon found a immunity vaccin for Rola and Eli having their first kiss and skin to skin contact.

Oh, ya this chapter was awesome

Pirates don't usually attack military forces. Many people get this wrong, but pirates and slave hunters are in it for the profit. It's a business. An illegal one, but the only real measure of success is still money. So in a story, they should act accordingly.
There's no profit to be made from attacking the military and they risk bringing an overwhelming response down on their heads.

I feel like the plot of this chapter should have been a joke about a quarian going to a beach... Neat. But honestly I'm curious about what they found, and what it will cause for the future. Thanks for the chapter.

Nice development there with the weapons, now how about energy shielded and cloaked battle armor? They could consult with the Asgard database or reverse engineer Kull warrior armor as they did their plasma repeater. Will they reverse engineer Ronon's Plasma Magnum? How about new battlecruisers?
Did they already encounter Reaper tech? As always great chapter, please update again soon!

The update in weaponry is very neat.

And I found that sequence in the continent very sweet and wholesome.

So the Novans encountered either their first Protean relics or something far worse... So exciting! Gotta say though, it's awesome to see Tau'ri and Jaffa working together like this.

By the way, I had a thought, hypothetically speaking in this universe there aren't any ascended beings, right? Or at least from what I recall of Mass Effect lore. So if someone, say Daniel, were to go through Ascension again there wouldn't be any pesky Ancients with their rules of no interference, right?
That would be one heck of an advantage if that were to happen... Hypothetically speaking of course, I don't know how it would be possible to have such an overpowered plot device without breaking the story. (That would be so cool though..!)
