TeddyBearGuru97 chapter 33 . 4/18/2021 Very cool |
Guest chapter 33 . 4/13/2021 I LOVE THIS STORY! Why you ask? I don't even know where to begin: Your writing stile is really compelling and it is really noticable that this story is planned and plotted well. Concerning your dream sequences: they are really well written and I did not need your author's notes to know that they are important to the plot. They are that well written. I also love how you handle action and the fight against the dark side. The fights seem realisic to me (though I don't have much experience in that area) and are not too long or more brutal than they need to be. Moreover, you find a -to me- perfect balance between focusing on defeating the perceaved enemy (the truly evil Sith - excluding Dooku; btw lovec how you handled him), making the galaxy a better place and focusing on the relationships of your characters. The only critique I have is that -until now- the villain of the story has changed on time to much for my tastes. I was really excited for the Mothers/ Alberoth's role, powers and how our heroes would defeat her. So the change to Plageuis a few chapters later appears to be rushed. Nontheless I'm looking forward to the next chapter anyway. Last but not least: My favourite thing about this story is how you show each character, their relationships with each other as well as their struggles and how they learn to overcome them. Every main character is growing in one way or the other and I like how it's done in a subtle way and not with a great epiphany. And I adore how you handle the romantic relationships, they are a lovely addition to the story, seem natural and are well paced. (I can't WAIT for Obitine baby *squeele*) So keep up the good work :) |
The Shadows Will chapter 7 . 4/7/2021 There it is. I always felt that any sort of character replacement or self insert needs to have at least one breakdown or its not realistic. Having ones life completely changed has got to be really stressful, and this is one of the few stories i have ever read that in any way addresses the issue. So good job. I hope you follow up on this more. I'm not actually much of a Star Wars fan, and only really started reading this on a lark, but this definetely makes me want to continue reading. Thanks for your hard work |
Pretty good chapter 33 . 4/3/2021 Had a grin while reading the chapter. Thanks, author. |
Everestt Thom chapter 33 . 3/31/2021 Perfect. Need more Luke fluff though. |
SirchSidhe chapter 33 . 3/30/2021 This is an awesome story. I can't wait to see what other chaos Luke and Leia will stir. |
The Wasp1995 chapter 14 . 3/27/2021 "A third faction. One he couldn't control"- says it all right there. Luke's meddling has really thrown an enormous monkey wrench into Palpatine's machinations. I like it. |
The Wasp1995 chapter 12 . 3/27/2021 What I like about this story is you explain the law of unintended consequences extremely well. Luke's making changes left and right- Dooku rebelling against Sidious, the Separatists turning on each other, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan leaving along with a significant portion of the clones. I was a bit surprised Luke left, but this story leaves no rock unturned when it comes shaking things up. I can't wait to read more. |
BrieferCat chapter 33 . 3/23/2021 give dragon |
The Wasp1995 chapter 7 . 3/24/2021 The ending of this chapter definitely hit hard, but unfortunately I have to say I saw it coming. Luke wasn't going to commit incest with his mother even if he now has the body of Anakin Skywalker. Makes me wonder how this little paradox is going to be solved. I know it says in your title notes 'no paradox' but perhaps that implies the Force has a will of its own in this situation, i.e. trying to help Luke understand why his father turned in some alternate scenario that only exists in a certain plan within time and space. Either way I will be reading this religiously today. |
The Wasp1995 chapter 6 . 3/24/2021 I must say, this is fantastic. You have a very simple way of writing, which I hope doesn't come across as insulting because it's honestly quite refreshing. It reflects the tone of the story in a way, as many AU or time travel fics tend to have a lot going on. Take it from someone writing their own Star Wars fic haha. You contrast Luke and Anakin incredibly well because in the original trilogy much is made of how they're alike. Not quite as touched upon are their differences which enables Luke to resist the pull of the dark side where Anakin could not. This chapter struck out to me in particular because I debated on whether or not Luke would be smart enough to figure out how the Empire would be created. He's precocious and naturally kind hearted but the original movies didn't hit upon how intelligent he was or wasn't. That being said, I loved the scenes with the Clones. The CW series really made me love individuals like Rex and Fives, and his interactions with them here were gut wrenching yet powerful at the same time. I think Luke's natural intuition kicks in nicely, which you portray well. Bravo, my friend. I will continuing to read more today. |
The Wasp1995 chapter 1 . 3/23/2021 Alright, I'm way late to this fic seeing as it's already hugely popular but nevertheless you got me hooked already. You have these characters down to a T and I very look forward to seeing how this goes...and how you plan to address certain uh...problems haha. |
Guest chapter 33 . 3/20/2021 My heart ached fir Anakin. It was for the best. Amazingly done. |
Wednesday's Jest chapter 26 . 3/21/2021 I really like this fic, but I am not a huge fan of Abeloth as an antagonist. Then again I'm not a big fan of the whole Father/Daughter/Son bit either so it follows that the antagonist born from that same element wouldn't be to my taste. Not sure why you needed this new antagonist since it seemed like the story was moving to a conclusion, but at least this isn't the Yuuzhan Vong. I am a bit concerned that the climax of the story is going to be two sets of Ones using super Force powers at each other. I had really liked the exploration of Luke's impact having less to do with his Force powers and more with his kindness and willingness to step down off of the Jedi pedestal. This seems to be moving the story away from that which is a bit disheartening. I'll stick it out because the story so far has been fantastic, but I'll admit to having some doubts about the new direction. Thank you for taking the time to share your story. |
