Ok, I'm sorry, this mental connection between Voldemort and Draco makes absolutely zero sense, I get it's a fanfiction, but even in this universe (based on Harry taking Occlumency lessons) legilimency requires eye contact. Why the heck would Voldemort have any access to Draco's mind? Like I can vaguely imagine there's be a way to send dreams long distance, but certainly not actually read Draco's thoughts, that's just too powerful, especially for a fic that's so far had a disappointing amount of actual magic used. The characters all seem so weak because none of them seem to know even the most basic spells. Don't get me wrong, this is a great fic, if a bit long-winded, but those two points really bug me.

I remember reading this story about 5 years ago, I never saved it though and when I searched for it again years later I could not remember the name. I found it again recently and reread it, and this story is just as good as it was so many years ago :)

I don't know if you still read the reviews after all this time, but I want you to know regardless.
This work has moved me in a way no other piece of fiction ever has in my memory. I don't even remember bawling over the original canon series as I did over this. It was beautiful, heartbreaking and very very touching. I loved every word, every chapter and every moment of this. There were times when I wished this was how the real story went - having read this many years after even HBP and Deathly Hallows. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful piece of work. It will forever remain in my heart.

This was such a great story. I was so frustrated with Draco at first I was like “just take Harry and escape already!” But I’m glad you didn’t rush it and took the time to build the characters. You gave Draco the redemption arc he deserved but never got in the books. Thank you!
I’m assuming there didn’t end up being a sequel to this story, but considering how much time energy is required to write fan fiction that is totally understandable

im literally reading this at 1 in the morning, and I have a dentists appointment at 7, but who gives a motherfucking shit? I told myself I’d stop at 12, but my teenage impulsiveness got the better of me.
This is honestly super well written, and I can tell you put a lot of thought in it. I’m writing my own story as well (not a fic) and sometimes it’s hard to sit down and write and just BE CREATIVE, but your story has inspired me to put aside time to work on my story.
Ik this is 17 years old, but it’s so great. I’ll have you know this is my second—no, third—time reading past 12 so I could just “finish this last chapter!”
This is the third time I’ve read it all the way through, it’s that good. I don’t know if you see these reviews anymore, but I’ve seen some assholes who don’t know quality when they see it. One person had the audacity to review “I don’t remember Draco being this much of a coward in the books” yeah, because it’s a fanfic, dipshit.
Sorry, I’m ranting, but I get mad when people brush off someone’s hard work just because it didn’t meet up to their expectations. I, for one, appreciate and love the work you have taken time to work on!
I want you to know one last thing—
When i first read “Eclipse”, I was stunned by how detailed it was. I could quite literally picture what was happening in my head and it would play out like a movie. I’m not sure if this would count as copyright, but I’ve been trying to make my writing slightly more like yours. Don’t worry, I’m not copying and pasting into my document, but I’m trying to slow down and show as much detail as possible. I know I won’t be able to reach Tolkien level of detail, but I’m trying, lmao.

This is—dare I say—honestly better than JK Rowling’s. This is so much more detailed than her books, and don’t get me wrong, she is still a great author.

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. This Drarry fanfiction is an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end. The angst, the adventure, the slow-burning romance brewing between Draco and Harry. The way Draco starts to change as he spends more time with Harry. The sadness of him having to abandon his family. The fairy ring...the river...the witty banter between Harry and Draco...the peril of Voldemort trying to kill Harry with the eclipse potion...honestly, this is my favorite Drarry fanfiction ever. I read it six years ago when I was going through a massive Drarry phase and now that I'm doing that again, I knew this fic was the first one to revisit. It's absolute perfection. And thank you for introducing me to the Indigo Girls! I really love their music. I actually took all the songs from this fic and made them into a playlist on my ipod (like I said. I'm a MASSIVE fan). This fanfiction also has the most realistic portrayal of Drarry romance I have ever seen. 3

Fanfiction has been a great way for me to cope with the stress of 2020. Thank you for this incredible story. Please never stop writing, you truly have a gift!
