Poor Luffy ,I hate it when he’s in pain ,but in these stories it is a necessary evil ,he is going to have to work like a Beast to make sure history does not repeat itself ,I’m excited to see where you take this story ,hopefully Luffy heals and grows with the passage of time.I also would like Shanks to meet the man that made Luffy this way.

Hey man don’t worry about the recovery scenes. I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that I’m not reading this story for your knowledge on what a doctor has to do to repair a patient with three gashes in their chest but instead I’m reading it for the amazing new plot lines and badass fights this luffy will go through now that he is so much stronger and wiser. And you’re whole struggle with fight scenes is some bs man this shit is so raw just keep doing what you’re doing bro. Trust me when I say these fights are so much better and detailed than so many popular one piece stories on this website because they’re only popular due to luffy having a harem or some other popular luffy pairing. The problem is the author will often quit those stories halfway through paradise because they realize they have no creativity and have already exhausted the romance between the characters early on so you’re left with a bunch of stories that end at the cp9 arc that could’ve been caught up to canon by today. You’ve already proved to me that you have a lot more creativity than those writers by not sticking to canon and actually making up your own story within one piece. You’re luffy is also charactered very well, it makes the story even greater. Can’t wait for the next chapter man

pacing is ok for now. also don't worry about medical knowledge. Luffy heals by eating meat. just like Brook heals drinking milk. it's near instantaneous. you may need better knowledge for anyone else. but with these 2 you only need food.

no please don't say that! I don't want to one day just stop getting updates for a book. it is one of the most shittiest feelings imaginable. especially if I grow to like this story. so don't quit midway. this is an earnest request from a reader.

I'm extremely happy you didn't have Luffy save Bellemere, even if that sounds terriblehe can't save everyone and if she lived and raised Nami it's more unlikely Nami would become a pirate. Also, given that Nami didn't have to obsessively steal money for years it's less likely she'll be as much of a miser; the Strawhats will probably bankrupt themselves in this version. This story's a ton of fun so far.

I really enjoy this story and I'm always happy to see an update which truly speaks to the quality of your writing. I cannot wait to see where this story goes.

I don't know if this is part of the pacing but I was disappointed that this chapter was so much smaller than the last one. I get that not every chapter can be the same length and I think that the last chapter was the outlier instead of the other way around but the length of the last chapter created the expectation that this was going the be of similar length.

Interesting little touch in how they cannot provide proper medical care because of Luffy's body. Good thing you acknowledge how absurdly rare seastone is too

Nice bit with Luffy and Nami at the end there! Guess she will be upping her training in preparation, now that she has seen the sort of level Luffy has to fight on

P.S. Fighting scenes are great so far, even though i know and understand what a struggle they can be.

I just want to say, please never stop writing this story. Not only is the premise of the story(while cliche) enjoyable, but your execution of said premise is better than literally every One Piece story (and most stories in general) with the same premise. Really good pacing for this first part of the story, as there is a need to build kind Luffys skill set before he sets off now that he is back in the past. I really really like the fact that while Luffy is definitely more powerful, he is not just blatantly OP fron the start. He has to develop and adapt now that he is in a younger, weaker body. I was skeptical on Luffy trying to save Bellmére (basically for taking out Arlong early) not from a plot standpoint, because that makes complete sense for the story, but for the future, and the dynamic between Nami and everyone else now that this has changed. I will be the first one to admit that you did a really good job, and i cant wait to see how that goes forward. I feel like your pacing is good right now. I am really excited to see where this story goes further. The story, as well as you Mr Author have amazing potential to make this an amazing story. I hope you see this and know that you have both my praise and thanks. Know that no matter what happens, you will always have at least that one random dude that is waiting excitedly for the next chapter to come out. Incredible story thus far, I really loved the fight with Arlong. The words of Raleygh captured the “One Piece” feel of battles where characters often discover further uses of their power mid battle in a believable sense. Building upon their foundations.
