Shirou Emiya1 chapter 1 . 7/29/2020
I was honestly expecting naruto to fucking beat up issei when his eyes turned cold the moment issei grabbed his collar hell i was actually hoping he would break him or downright unleash a fuckton of killing intent at him making him see his death over and over again until he is terrified of him and pisses his pants and is traumatized whenever he sees him since from what i gathered this naruto doesn't care all that much and that he wouldn't just take anyones anger or jealousy for stupid reasons
Guest chapter 1 . 7/29/2020
Really good first chapter! Hope to see more.
Proliferating Procrastination chapter 1 . 7/29/2020
This works well to set the stage, and I always do like the 'Isekai'd crossover of Naruto to DxD. A little bit of his behavior is definitely out of character, but I think that's probably in part the general 'denial' that comes of some level of depression. Naruto being Naruto is what makes him great, and you managed to at least keep enough of him here to keep me interested to see more!

Admittedly this chapter (or almost prologue, even) is just setting the stage for all of the events to come, so I don't expect anything crazy out of it. The grammar wasn't terrible in any sense, and while I wasn't looking for things to correct, nothing stood out to me as wrong beyond the occasional quotation breaks, comma usage, or whatever. You did use 'prove of the afterlife' instead of 'proof' once and that stood out quite a bit. In the same sentence, there's an apostrophe on 'humans' that shouldn't be there if they're not possessive of anything in the sentence.

I think the way you explain bonds is a little overly edgy for canonical Naruto and definitely doesn't fit a lot of the major buddhist themes (for relationships, interactions, storytelling) that Kishimoto was bringing to bear in regards to the character, but maybe that's just something to show with time. We've got a young male here (and that's a question in and of itself, as to what time period of Naruto he got pulled from, and thus how strong he is beyond clearly that this is at least 'Fourth Shinobi War Beginning' Naruto) who is essentially experiencing a completely different life without any responsibility beyond schoolwork (somehow?). Of course he'd see some positives to the situation given he's not being embroiled in a war or constant attempts on his life.

On the other hand, the way Naruto is about bonds and forming them (caring about people and perspective) is essentially integral to the character, if not the actual defining trait of the protagonist. I don't know how I feel about the way you've conveyed him so far. Part of that is how Kishimoto came back around to Naruto being paralleled to the Sage and the Sage's younger son. The whole argument of Ninjutsu vs Ninshou, etc. I'm withholding judgment at least until I see more.

Naruto's dialogue is pretty on point, though obviously he's been even more modernized in some ways by the transfer. Looking forward to the old glowing gold cloak and truth seeking balls wreckage. By the end of the Naruto series, the guy was basically a planet destroying level threat (counting the truth seeking balls, synchronization, and multiplied tailed beast bomb-rasengans or whatever) who could fly and sense any negative intent. He was all but godlike for combat potential, but an unassuming, ridiculously silly, kind guy who wanted to treat everyone as a friend. Ah. My nostalgia.

I'll be back when there's another chapter up! Stay safe.
